We booked a very short notice week in Benidorm with Jet2 Holidays at he Cristal Park. Reading some of the reviews after making the booking one or two of the reviews I became a little concerned - BUT - having spent a week there I really think that some people must be very hard to please. Yes, it is a city centre hotel and not all rooms have balconies, but ther is a plentyful supply of sun loungers on the spacious roof along with a bar. The pool is on the roof and is therefore smaller than usual - bit it big enough for a good swim. The staff are very friendly and helpful and our room was cleaned to a good standard every day. The restaurant for the English had a very good selection of well prepaired food, great range of salads, fabulous range for the kids, and if you still had any issues all you had to do was ask the chef!! The Cristal is great value for money.

Booked this very last minute, so didn't think to check the exact location and whether it had a pool outside! The indoor pool was a major downside to the hotel, food was ok, but staff were really friendly, yes there are two restaurants and the Spanish do get the best deals that way, but we did eat in the Spanish restaurant one night without any problem, as it was open later that ours. Beer was on tap to help yourself, as was Sangria. Location wasn't too bad in the old town, for our four days stay we probably should have been nearer the new town, but the old town was nice. Being part of their Magic chain you can use any other hotel, we looked at two more in the old town before going to the Magic Rock right at the very other end of the new town for the outdoor pool. However the beach is a short walk away.
The room was very basic, but the old dated air con unit was the best performing i've come across.
I wouldn't stay here again, but only due to the pool, it was a very busy hotel, Spanish are the usual without any manners, but nice efficient staff. In particular the long haired English lady who served behind the bar.

Room Tip: All inclusive can also be used at any other Magic hotel!

Good food good location for both old and new town magic cafe b good fun a lot of spanish pensioners are there in winter tends to be very busy nice views of the park if you are on the right side of the hotel. Basic but ckean

After booking a cheap last minute weekend to benidorm I wasn't expecting much with the price we paid but I wouldn't even pay £1 to stay in the hell hole of a hotel! Had to move rooms 4 times in the 1st day as the shower in the 1st room flooded the room and then the hallway, maid banging on the door shouting and screaming but judging by all the mould on the bottom of the bathroom this must of been a regular thing! Avoid room 334!! The whole hotel smells like fried food no matter what floor your on, the rooms smell like dirty drains to the point we couldn't even go into the bathroom without gagging and nearly been sick! The food was disgraceful, had the awful pleasure of trying a 'Burger' if it can be called that and no other words to describe it except it was dog food. No balconies, no outdoor pool, electricity kept going off all the time, no air conditioning the list goes on!! My advice would be never put yourself through staying here, safe to say I will never ever return. 3 star!?!? I've stayed in nicer 1 star hostels!!

been this hotel 9 times . always been great , been as a couple , with family and party of 16 with friends . 24 hour all inclusive bar great .. food great staff very good ,, also if you get the chance go to medieval night at Camelot castle good fun

Just returned from a week in magic cristal park, was not sure what to expect after reading the reviews but can honestly say it was very pleasant. Yeah there was some things that could be improved on but for a bargain break it ticks all the boxes. The most outstanding thing for us was the staff apart from vanessa in the rooftop bar who was quite abrupt every other member of staff was helpful.Tito in the granada restaurant was very attentive and anita in magic cafe was great-she remembered our drinks and was very friendly. Charlie and his free champagne prizes made for a good nights entertainment. The rooms were cleaned to a high standard and although basic you get what you pay for. Food was reasonable a bit repetitive but always something for everyone. I did think the british were more welcome in the granada restaurant and magic cafe but we preferred there anyway-it was less chaotic. My only concern was the pool-it was quite treacherous when wet and I witnessed a few people slipping. Oh and the lifts were quite hit and miss but if you were patient they did come other than that walkin up and down the stairs frequently works off all the puddings you will eat

we went on our 1st holiday to Benidorm in may just me and the hubby ..on arriving in Benidorm it is not the most attractive place we had visited... we stayed near the old town by choice as we like to have a walk about we were ai .the hotel was ok as I was not surprised as I had read earlier reviews .. we were not put off by the slight gradient to the beach ..we found the staff friendly and polite enough on our check in despite the Spanish pensioners behind us trying to jump the que the receptionist kindly put them in their place ..I had booked a promo room as it is only to sleep and get showered in ..the room was in need of an update as I think the whole hotel is in need of a bit of tlc but all in all it was clean and to my surprise I found the beds were quite comfortable our out look was a wall but as I said before you only sleep and bathe in it we were in room 459 ..we were advised to use the lower floor restaurant on -2 floor as the other restaurant was favoured by the Spanish tourists this was so funny at meal times as the lifts were like the m62 on a Friday evening the Spanish would crowd in and overload the lift but a polite no was needed here and there I found this very funny as a lot of the english seem to be afraid of the Spanish and found them aggressive but we soon worked out that a bit of pidgeon Spanish spoken and we were all friends ...the food in the hotel was lovely I am a fussy eater and I was amazed to find that there was a very good choice on offer everyday hot and cold with the chef on hand the staff in the restuarants were brilliant they were manuel and Charlie very attentive and courteous ..the rooftop pool is ok but you need to get up early to get a good place for tanning as there is limited bed and chairs etc this was used mainly by the English tourists ...the magic café is mainly used by the English and Belgium friends we made with the local entertainment called him and her .. andy and anne-marie there were great made everyone feel welcome and did a good cross range of music to suit all tastes anita who works behind the bar in the café can come across as blunt but don't take it to heart she is a lovely person once you get talking to her trevor is a lovely man .. there are some free buses that take you into the new town if you don't want to walk along the beach to the other magic hotels....at the weekend it did get lots of stag and hen parties in it can get very noisy but we just joined in with them and had a laugh we did enjoy our stay at the magic cristal park after all your holiday is what you make it but I don't we will go back there
