Hotel Ambassador Playa I & II
Ranked #31 of 192 Hotels in Benidorm
Certificate of Excellence

This was our first time at the ambassador, the price of the drinks was very competitive and of good quality, the rooms were clean, basic, comfortable, the cleaners were very good, the whole of the hotel was very clean. There was was repair work being carried out but this did not inconvenience us much. The staff were very good except for one man in reception, who seemed to think he was doing us a favour by letting stay in his hotel, he had a bad attitude. The entertainment was very good, good shows, the resident artist was also very good, the dancing wasn't to our taste but we enjoyed watching anyway. The food wasn't great but we got by. The hotel is in a great location, central to everything. In general we enjoyed our stay and would return.

Room Tip: choose high floor for less noise

Stayed here with my 87year old mother. This hotel was very clean with a powerful shower and kept spotless.restaurant manager very friendly and welcoming. We were full board and always a wide selection of food on offer.the only complaint I had was having to pay 28 Euros for a pool facing room ,but we thought the sun would be shining and it would be money well spent but it was very cold the first three days of our holiday. Building work still going on but it was not in any way intrusive. They have done a lot of work and hotel entrance looks great. Entertainment very good with resident organist playing a wide selection of music to suit everyone Guest Artist everynight were all very good.

Room Tip: Take a high level room as could be quite noisy at front of hotel

We always stay in the Ambassador Hotel when visiting Benidorm, this year will be the fifth year we have visited the hotel. It is very clean, cleaners do the rooms and beds each day; the restaurant and restaurant manager are excellent with a great variety of food to suit all tastes The staff are very friendly and obliging, willing to help with any query and certainly go out of their way to ensure everyone enjoys their stay; We look forward to our stay each year and are welcomed back as friends.

Room Tip: when booking ask for poolside rear of hotel overlooks another hotel pool and doesn't get as much...

We stayed here for the very first time in Feb, and we were pleasantly surprised.Hotel was busy but not hectic as i could imagine it would be in high season, very central with everything right on your doorstep.
The reception has just been renovated to a high standard and is beautiful the staff at reception were very nice and always pleasant to speak to.
There were 3 of us sharing, and despite having 3 single beds it was more spacious than other 3 bedded hotel rooms in Benidorm that we have stayed in.
Rooms were cleaned daily by a lovely woman, our room had brand new mattresses which we found very comfortable. We had a flat screen tv with numerous stations in English, to use it you pay a refundable deposit at reception and they give you the remote.
The new explorers club bar is great, yet again the staff are efficient and friendly, varied entertainment at night and drinks in my opinion are very reasonable, there is also happy hours in morn and night, the outside seating area at the back will be good for summer time and in my opinion with prices etc will give uncle peds a bit of competition.
The food was fantastic, always plenty of choice and piping hot, the dining room staff are very efficient, albeit a little enthusiastic about clearing tables as we heard someone say they were not finished and plate was wipped away, but we never experience this although one of us was always left seated at the table if we were going up for anything else. The head waiter Pasqual was a lovely man, one day he noticed our mum wasnt with us for breakfast, he asked if she was ok, we explained she wasnt feeling great and not up to coming down for breakfast, he said that if we wanted to, we were to take her some food up to the room which we did and thanked him for his kindness.
Yes there was poolside work being carried out, but this wasnt an issue as the weather was too cold to use the pool or sit out. I think quieter winter months are the best time to do renovations etc as it would be ludicrous to do so in the busy summertime.
I will not hesitate to visit this hotel again.

Very clean, powerful shower, good food - always something even for fussy eaters. Charge 2E per day per person extra for rooms at front to get sun on balcony, we didn't pay it thankfully cos only had 2 days sun! lol Great location, handy for everything and if you walk along into the Old Town doesn't cost much for a taxi back along. Western Bar is great, other bars are fine too - depends what you want but at least if it's raining you don't need to go far! Would be happy to return.
