Let's get "the bug" out of the way first - It does exist, it isn't the lager and we didn't bring it from the UK. 5 out of the 6 of us came down with this bug - either sickness or the runs or both and with 2 of us being non drinkers it wasn't the booze! The hotel and reps are aware of this bug and checks have been made on the hotel, it's nothing to do with hygiene or food and drink, it's an airborne bug which will not go!
That aside this is a cracking 3 star hotel. One of the better ones we have stayed in. Rooms cleaned/towels changed every day - our air con was on during May so all well there!
The food was just fine, always chips but also pasta, meat, fish, lovely king prawns and baked salmon as well as the usual cakes and a huge selection of fruit. Hand sanitiser at the entrance but still people choosing not to use it.
The pool area is quite small and I can imagine in school hols it would be a struggle to get a bed but it was fine whilst we were there.
The entertainment was pretty good - always bingo, good for a laugh, kids mini disco and then a singer (or two) and a comedian who was very entertaining!
All in all, a very good 3 star hotel.More
