My hubby and I only returned 2 days ago after a 4 night stay. Since we last stayed at Rio Park it has been totally refurbished and updated. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, the food was first class with so much variety I have put on 2 stone I'm sure. The rooms were cleaned daily and were nicely furnished. The location is ideal for access to all the pubs, bars and varied nightlife. What more can I say, we're going again in June, can't wait.

Having stayed at many hotels in the world at many ends of the scale this is truly a good find i am not sure how they grade this one 2 or 3 but is certainley worthy of more .the staff and the manager jose do indeed go out of their way to make you truly welcome . A lot could be learnt form this team of staff as you could see how well they got on and were very happy at their jobs.
Other postings on this website are very accurate and i would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
The food was excellent and varied , its hard to believe that anybody could fail to find something to suit from the dishes on offer,as indeed the rooms were clean and bright the pool and deck ares were also very clean and well kept. I CERTAINLEY WILL RETURN

I stayed in the Rio Park Hotel over Easter and had a really good time.
The food is excellent - lots of choice. I am vegetarian and there was always something for me - pasta, omelette, ratatouille etc. I thought breakfast was great - different cereals, a selection of cooked items, toast, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cheese, rolls, jam, unlimited tea, coffee, hot chocolate - what more do people want?? My mum and aunt (in their 70s) were more than happy with British fare at the hotel such as beef and yorkshire pudding, bread and butter pudding and bacon and eggs.
The staff are very friendly and will stop you to ask about how you are getting on and the manager puts in 100%. It was my mum and aunt's 5th visit to the Rio Park and the manager made a big fuss of them.
The entertainment is a bit tacky but most people tend to go out of the hotel if they want better quality entertainment and cheaper drinks. Gin & tonic, rum & coke is €2.50 at the hotel but you can find better deals in the nearby bars. We tended to stay in the hotel and play bingo, watch the show and have some drinks, which was fine for us after a busy day of walking around or doing daytrips. The staff shows are truly terrible but they keeping you laughing for a good few hours afterwards!!

  • Liked — Friendliness of the staff
  • Disliked — The bar isn't very comfortable

The Rio Park has been recently (2005) refurbished and so is generally clean and in a good state of repair, however it is still an older construction and the walls are very thin so you can hear everyone around you (even snoring) and the incredibly annoying scrapeing of furniture on the floors above as the maids do their daily clean. It's a very popular hotel and you may need to wait a while for a lift at busy times, food is generally good with a fair choice unless you're a veggie. (they put bits of bacon in the peas, broccoili etc.)! Location is ideal for main nightlife beach etc. Hotel is constructed in three sections with only one overlooking the pool and getting the sun, these are reserved for Thomson bookings so if you book yourself you will probably not get the sun on your balcony. Good value overall and recommended as long as you can cope with the noise.

We Booked this hotel on the recommentations of this site. The customer reviews given were very accurate , the hotel is clean and bright the staff are very friendly and the guests are chatty
The hotel is almost exclusivley english so don't expect to soak up any spainish culture but lets face it if your off to Benidorm your not on a Culture trip.
The food was excellent and varied its hard to fit in all the options, its hard to believe that anybody could fail to find something to suit from the dishes on offer
The rooms are fairly standard hotel boxes very clean and simply furnished I dare you to fault it at 24€ full board a night

had a great holiday in the rio park hotel.
everything we needed was there for us and the children. excellent staff and service. the only problem was the breakfast. we usually went out for breaky and found a great little bar down the yellow brick road called the free lions full english breakfast for under 2 euros and a good laugh there too.
back to the hotel for dinner ..loads to chose from then onto the full onty at night.
all in all we will be back.
thanks
