Excellent hotel, was worried about 2 stars until you read the reviews. This is an excellent hotel, basic but very clean and food aplenty. Staff welcoming and friendly. This hotel is just the right distance from nightlife where you cannot hear the noise. If going on a girly holiday again to Benidorm would stay again and would highly recommend.

Just returned from a week at the Rio Park. I can only give positive feedback. The food is as good as ever. The most friendly guests I have ever encountered at a hotel. Yes the hotel is basic as far as decor is concerned but it is in a good position if you want the night life, the rooms are clean, staff polite and helpful and the food is excellent. We have heard that the manager is leaving in March. I hope this will not mean any drastic changes.

Room Tip: We had rooms 408 and 409. If you need 1 twin and a single room then 408 and 409 are perfect. The doo...

Spent new year at the Rio Park and it was the first stay here at new year and must say we had a fab time. We met up with friends that we had previously met in the Rio. The hotel again lived up to our expectations rooms and public areas kept spotless, reception staff their usual happy helpful selves and the food is of the same high standard with plenty of choice and much better than some of the 4 star hotels we have stayed in even though the Rio is only classified a 2 star. New years eve was great with free drinks and a buffet before dinner then a gala dinner with free cava, wine and a party bag with a 2014 Rio mug each. The Rio connections pub is great with excellent staff and good entertainment and as always Paco in the pop in English pub was as cheerful and hard working as ever.
Once again Rio thanks for a most enjoyable stay. See you soon x

Room Tip: A high room is quieter.

Just returned from a seven night stay at the Rio Park for the New Year. This hotel does what it says on the tin ie. good clean basic rooms, excellent food with a good choice, well stocked bar, entertainment, careing staff, all for a reasonable price.
New Year celebrations started early at 5pm until 7pm with a finger buffet and two free drinks per person in the Bar. A gala dinner was to follow with wine and cava included at which we also received a gift from the hotel. There was then live entertainment in the bar until late.
Altogether the holiday was an excellent experience . Well done Rio Park!
Many Thanks to Jose" and the staff.

Room Tip: Pool side rooms have more sun.

Me and my partner stayed at the hotel from dec 28 to jan 7,as usual everything was fine but we were dismayed to hear the news that the hotel manager jose is retiring in February, seemingly the staff shows and bingo will be phased out,we sincerely hope that no other changes in the rio park system will be made and that all the current staff are retained,as the british saying goes if something isn't broken you don't mend it,i would like to thank "the boss" and all the wonderful staff for making our holiday so special, including jose the head waiter jose who is so entertaining at calling the bingo, once again we will be coming hopefully over xmas and new year and hope that no changes have been made, great food, great bars great rooms and great staff

I have just returned from a week holiday over the New Year at the Rio Park Hotel, we arrived at the hotel around 9pm on the 31st December.
The hotel held the kitchen open for us to have a good meal before booking in. After a fast book in, your told where your room is, and you make your own way to it via one of the 5 lifts, I was on the top floor (12th), I had a single room, they are small with only a window and not a balcony, You have a Bath with a shower over it, toilet and a sink, we had hot water all the time, and lots of power even on the top floor.

I found the meals to be very good and lots to choose from, hot and cold. tea and coffee is only offered at breakfast, you have to pay for soft drinks inc water, wine and beer ect at all other meals, if you buy wine but don't drink it all, you can leave the bottle at the shop with your room number on it for the next time.

The whole of the hotel is very clean, rooms cleaned daily, towels as required, bedding every week.

There was bingo every night and live bands in the main bar and dance hall, not a lot for children to do, But the hotel is full of over 60s (inc me) from what I could see.
The outside area at the hotel let it down, But a notice board outside said the grass area and the cats belonged to the council.

A lot of the bars around the hotel were closed due to the season, but still loads of places to go to eat and drink, and good entertainment.

The beach is about a 10 or 15 minute walk from the hotel down a bit of a dark path, always the odd guy hanging around the outside the hotel asking you to try out the bars they work for, but happy to chat even if you say no to them.

Beach was great, bars along the beach were good as well. I had a great time and would be happy to recommend it to mainly to older folks.
