We had another lovely holiday in the Don Pancho Hotel. It has been refurbished with some lovely settees, chairs and carpets and looks splendid. The food is still as good as ever. The entertainment could do with upgrading, but it is quite satisfactory. All of the staff are helpful and nothing is too much trouble. If you need more entertainment you have only got to go round to the street at the back of the hotel and you can see and hear who you want. but you cannot hear yourself speak as the music is so loud.

Room Tip: As there were three of us we asked for a room high up and at the end. We went with Jet.2 holidays as they provided a room for three and Thomsons did not and they wanted a lot more money for this holiday. My friend sent an email to ask for a room for three at the end and they replied and we were very pleased with the room as we got what we asked for.

Just returned from a week at the Don Pancho and had an absolutely fabulous week, perfect from beginning to end. The comments about the dated rooms, hit and miss Internet etc are correct although I found the 'little faults' - if you can call them that - actually make it the fantastic hotel that it is. The trio that are on every night are very good and, lets face it, if you want nightlife in benidorm you only have to walk to the nearest bars to find it. We are in our fifties but going to this hotel made us feel very young! Not many places we go to make us feel that way these days. The older couples made us smile as they are such characters, some are very friendly but some are just plain grumpy, even on holiday. The staff are excellent, very friendly and I have never seen people work so hard before. The hotel Director takes his hotel very seriously and is obviously passionate about the hotels service and reputation. The food is very, very good and varied. Sunbed situation needs sorting out as there are not enough and people keep towels on them all day and don't return until later. one member of staff did become a very effective 'sunbed policeman' and took towels off if people did not return after an hour. lets face it, the beach is only a stones throw away and there is plenty of it for sunbathing. We will definitely be going back again and again. We fell in love with the hotel Don Pancho.

just returned from hotel don pancho and was glad to leave, the hotel is 4* dont know how, the hotel is ideally situated in a quiet area and near the beach with plenty going on around it, the front of the don pancho is dated with orange glass fronted balconies, inside is nice enough around the reception, there is 4 small lifts and 1 slightly bigger, they all get busy in the evening around meal times.
the rooms are dated 1970's dark wooded doors and tired cord carpet, the beds are hard the pillows are flat and blankets not duvets, the bathrooms are nice shower curtains or glass screens with power showers heads or refurbd rooms have walk in showers, there are hairdryers and big mirrors, complimentary shower gel, shampoo, soap, combe, shoe wipe sponge and shoe horn in the room, there is a tv with basic channels 1 bucket chair and fridge with 2 colas,2 fantas,2 san miguel lagers, and 2 waters 500mls,
on the balcony we had a table, 2 chairs and badly cracked glass.
the meals: breakfast was usual nothing out of the way, always did an english breakfast, lunch: salads, choice meat, fish or pasta, bread crackers and cheese or salami and olives, evening meals the same, my only moan on meals mostly over cooked veg and potatoes in general very soft dont have to chew food and not very good quality or very warm, certainly not 4*
the staff choose who to suck up to, made obvious when you first arrive they either bring your bags in and put them in your room or in my case you drag them in and up to your room,
they are polite to you but dont want to deal with you any longer than they need to, unless you've been before then the red carpet pops out and you receive a lovely complimentary basket of fruit in your room or maybe if your male, female in your room, it seemed to be if your face fits you'l be treated well,
the cleaners were very nice and efficient, the bar staff polite, the reception staff not so friendly, the waiters amazing on a monday evening (gala night).
now the funniest thing, the opening of the pool doors at 9am where the old folk pick up speed and charge to the sun beds to place their towels and hibernate or not, they leave their towels there anyway.
entertainment at the hotel was ok if your well over 60, they had a couple singing 1950's/1960's 1 night, reminded me of only fools and horses skit, rachel and her partner singing cwying in a night club, had to leave before i lol,in all was dissapointed with the hotel and how i made to feel that i was'nt worthy of staying, in all i wont be staying here again.

Room Tip: you can ask for a middle room, 07, 08, 09 these are bigger, 17th floor and first floor refurbd. all have same view

Returned from a 2. week holiday at Don Pancho Hotel on 23rd.April. First time at the Hotel, but definately not the last. The Hotel is ideally situated on the level and very close to the Esplanade. To the right as you leave the Hotel is the "Wine Barrel" (and Money Exchange),and to the left you will find the Carrefour Express (like a Tesco Express) - so all your needs are right on the doorstep...!!!. The Hotel Staff are most helpful and friendly. The Hotel is clean, well appointed, and has the advantage a a room safe and wi-fi throughout the Hotel (including the rooms)- both at a small charge. The Guests are mostly "Senior Citizens" - and if you wish for a quiet, relaxing environment - then you will not be disappointed at the Don Pancho. The weekends do become busy in the evenings when non-residents enjoy the Hotel Dance area - but the rest of the time the Hotel never appears crowded as there are vast areas of lounge seating on both the ground and first floor. If you are looking for childrens clubs, discos, and a lively scene then there are many other Hotels to suit those needs elsewhere in Benidorm...!!!. Altogether my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Hotel - and even with our dietry needs- being both Vegetarian - there was kind attention and service provided throughout our stay. Well Done to you All at the Don Pancho - we look forward to returning again hopefully in the not too distant future.

Room Tip: All rooms face south and towards the sea - so the only request would be for a smoking or non-smoking room on a low or high floor,

We're often reluctant to return to the same accommodation in case it doesn't live up to the first experience, but we needn't have worried, the Don Pancho consistently provides excellent service. The food, accommodation and service is faultless for a hotel at this price, so it isn't surprising that so many people return year after year. The location is perfect with the beachfront promenade only 100 metres away and entertainment to suit all tastes either in the hotel or in the roads behind.
We shall be back!

Room Tip: Rooms ending in 7, 8 and 9 are in the middle and are wider. Upper floor rooms probably get the best views.
