We stayed for 4 days to visit relatives. This hotel is very convenient for everything. Checking in was very swift and easy. The room was very clean and the maid came everyday. The beds were made everyday and the towels were replaced everyday. The staff were very friendly. We had a room for three and it was a large room on the side of the hotel but there were sea views. The bathroom was gorgeous and big and the shower was fantastic. The beds were very comfortable and big. We will definitely come to this hotel again.
Notes;
There is parking at the hotel (we paid Euros 13 per day) but it would be best to contact the hotel to try and book a space first.
Breakfast is buffet style.
We cannot say what the other meals were like as we chose not to eat at the hotel.

Note to the hotel;
Your hotel is lovely but we think that the steps from the swimming pool area to the sea front would benefit from having a gate that can only be opened by using your pass key as this would stop non-residents from wondering into the pool.

We had a lovely time, Thankyou

Prior to arrival I emailed the hotel to ask if they could give my mother in law a room close to ours. As she has mobility problems, we wanted to be close by. Not only did they accommodate our request but gave a free upgrade to a huge room with a walk in shower and plenty of room for manoeuvring a wheelchair. She also got a balcony and sea view. The rooms are spotless, the views amazing and the staff are very kind and helpful. The cleaners where friendly and chatty and serviced the room everyday. The hotel staff organised wheelchair hire for us too. Well stocked minibar with good prices and all toiletries provided. Only English news on TV though and no tea/coffee in the room. The snacks in the bar were nice and reasonably priced? The breakfast was great but could have been a little warmer. There was a large selection of food. Single rooms overlook the street at the rear of the hotel, all others have a sea view, either from the side or the front of the hotel. The front rooms have the best view though. Great hotel, fabulous location. I wouldn't hesitate booking with them again. Great for families and disabled travellers.

Have just come back from a week at this hotel. The position is second to none, rooms well appointed with large balconies and staff extremely pleasant and helpful. The only down side is the food, we went half board and for me breakfast was fine but my husband enjoys an English breakfast and for him the food and plates were too cold and the variety was non existent. Dinner during winter season is table service and although there are a good number of choices the food is will not appeal to the English palate. Often the choices for each course seem to be in the wrong order, however the staff do not have a problem when you pick and mix whichever way round you like. The ingredients are good quality but just not prepared in an appealing way, all this said in the summer months the meals buffet style which may make a difference.

Room Tip: All rooms have amazing views even the larger family rooms on the side.

Dont get me wrong, this is indeed an excellent hotel. The problem is always one of a trade off
because if one selects a 4 star hotel for the quality then invariably the clientel will usually found to be rather "Stuffy". Having just returned 1 week ago.
I arrived to find 8 mobility scooters outside reception and went inside to what can only be described as "Gods waiting room". However, I believe that the older generation come back home around April time. Maybe since I went there solo I needed a friendlier 3 star with a more down to earth customer base. This is not a "British" or Brits hotel, yes the oap's maybe British but most of the remaining customers were Flemish, Italian, French, Spanish etc.,
There was some restoration work going on at the side of the Hotel, but in fairness one could tell that the manager was concerned at the inconvenience that this might cause his customers. This did not concern me because since I went in March there was a lot of maintenance work going on in the area, in advance of the comming summer season and they were doing their best to minimsie the disruption.
The rooms are large with good views and lots of wardrobe space.
Yes they do have wooden composition flooring which
can be a little noisey but then you arnt paying for an exclusive luxury villa.
Food is excellent value for money although the dinner combinations can be somewhat
"strange", breakfast is not the best traditional english but the selection is such that there
is something for everyone. Friday evenings meal is "full dinner service" which was very special.
Staff are attentive and respectful with a good maid service and the rooms are cleaned daily.
If you want a good value for money hotel with decent food and a quiet break, then I can fully recommend. However if your the life and soul of the party this probably is not the place to be.
Evening reception staff were extremely helpful and overall I found the hotel to be of a high standard and very good value for money. Never found the fitness centre but in fairness didnt ask.
Excellent location.

Room Tip: Obviously a direct front sea view would be best, but I paid my money and took my chance, the side vi...

stayed at the cimbel for a week in February with my 13yr old daughter. I,ve been going to Benidorm for years and always walked passed this hotel thinking I would love to stay there!! so when I got the chance of a great offer I booked. we had a room at the side with beautiful views room was lovely plenty room walk in wardrobe but the walls were so thin we could hear everything in the room next door, toilet being flushed showers,etc. I would,nt say the staff were friendly either unless you were Spanish!! as for the food well put it this way I spent a fortune eating out so the holiday was,nt such a great offer after all!!

We stayed here at the cimbel hotel whilst visiting some relatives who recomended the place and i have to say that its well worth a visit, Its right on the seafront of the "new" town they call levante so its close to most things that benidorm has to offer, there rooms are very large and clean if a little bit clinical but i would imagine that this place gets absolutely jam packed in the summer months so maybe i can see the need for this kind of clinical approach to servise. we did not eat dinner at the hotel but the breakfast was just about ok nothing special but nothing great either, maybe if we stayed here again it would be on a room only basis but thats only because there are so many places to eat close by that we were a little spoilt for choise.

Benidorm itself mmmmmmmm, dont really know what to make of the place as we spent most of our time sightseeing round about the local towns (villajoyosa is a lovely place close by for a visit), but i would imagine its not for everyone, but if benidorm is your sort of place and you have not tried the climbel hotel then i would recomend that you give it a go as it had everything in good order and it was very clean and well run, and the staff were very friendly.

so would we stay here again.... if we were back in the area yes

What a lovely hotel, the rooms are really spacious and the balcony was large. Lovely views of the sea from the balconies that have glass all around. Wardrobes really large lots of coat hangers. All areas of the hotel really clean. We stayed on half board basis and we were told we could choose day by day if we wanted Lunch or Evening Meal. Food was good (I am a really fussy eater there was a couple of days we went out to eat as i didn't like what was on the menu) Lots of fish dishes served (i don't like fish so just went out). Reception staff quite friendly as were all the staff though i don't think they get a lot of English visitors as they didn't seem able to communicate as well as with other visitors from other countries. It was a shame Thomas Cook didn't notify us that the pool was out of action and that major repairs were being carried out on the upper floor balconies (rather noisy listening to drilling and grinding during the day). That wasn't the hotels fault it was up to the travel agent to inform us of this. Unfortunately we had an early flight we left home for the airport in the early hours of the morning and were very tired when we arrived at the hotel and went for a nap thus missing the welcome meeting at 5 p.m and we never saw the rep again for the whole week. Luckily the hotel reception gave us information about the pick up for the return journey.

Room Tip: we stayed in room 402 had a corner balcony and fantastic views
