We have just returned from a long weekend at this Hotel and found it almost faultless, a very clean smart looking Hotel in a perfect location on the promenade with easy access to both the new and the old town, friendly, helpful staff, spacious air conditioned rooms although, sadly, there were no tea or coffee making facilities, plenty of hot water whenever we needed it, beware the hairdryer gets very hot and difficult to hold, we stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, breakfast was very good, plenty of choice, we had the buffet dinner one evening, at 20 euros per person it was fairly good value with a wide range of foods catering for most palates. The one thing that would prevent me from returning to this Hotel would be the lack of sunbeds, only about 30 which just isn't enough, not everyone wants to go to the beach. A trip to Benidorm Palace is a must, we had a very enjoyable evening there and good value for money, definitely be returning to Benidorm, as a mature, in age, group it ticked almost all the boxes for us

Our second visit to this hotel was as good as the first. Since our first visit the out side of the building as had a nice make over. The inside is pretty much the same and some areas could do with the same treatment as the out side. We stayed in 428 (front sea view) which was kept very clean and tidy. The food in the restaurant was very good ,varied and well presented and the ladies in the restaurant all ways had a nice attitude, the male members of staff who tried to be in charge could learn from them.
Rooms *25 *26 *27 *28 Front sea view
Would we stay there again YES one of the best hotels overall in Benidorm.

This was our second stay at this hotel and I think it is better than ever. The service in all parts was courteous and helpful and in some cases (Manuel and Matías in the bar and Blanca and Silvia in the dining room, exceptionally good and friendly. The chambermaid too was most helpful and the room was very clean and comfortable). Most of the guests were Spanish while we were there and as we both love Spanish food, enjoyed all the dishes. I really don't know what other reviewers were looking for food-wise but suspect they may be better going to Blackpool if they want endless burger & chips, Sunday Roasts and pork scratchings! Why bother going to Spain if that’s what you’re looking for? I would certainly go back to the Sol Costablanca again.

Room Tip: Side sea view was good and no noise at night, even although it overlooked one of the beachfront bars...

After reading all the great reviews for this hotel me and my partner were looking forward to our break. Unfortunately something must have happened from the last review we read to our arrival. For starters the hotel looks 21st century from the outside and mid 20th century on the inside. Our room wasn't ready although the girl on reception did give us a choice of 3 sub standard rooms to choose from. Once we had chose the best of the worst we settled down for the night looking forward to breakfast. At breakfast we soon became aware that the majority of the clientel were spanish not that it made any difference but it would 'after become a relevant factor. The breakfast was at best average (coming from someone who will eat anything). That would be the first and last breakfast we would eat there. Next came the claiming a sun bed headache. 35 beds - 180 rooms, you do the maths. The hotels 30 minute max time a bed could be left unattended rule only seemed to apply to English as we witnessed first hand a couple of mornings later when a disabled English couples towels were thrown off 2 beds while they ate their breakfast, all other empty beds with towels were left, low and behold all Spanish. We had to spend 12 euros every day to grab beds on the beach. The day staff are rude and ignorant only the maids and the night security guard could crack a smile. Overall we wouldnt return to this hotel if we were paid.

Food was the worst thing at this Hotel, worst food we have had for years, food was cold and undercooked. Our room was at the back of the Hotel so it was noisy every night ,rooms basic and old fashion .
But on the good note it was friendly, nice to be on the beach, great location, pool was great to plunge into, beach clean ,sea warm ,great for people watching , bar next door with live music.
Loved the old town, great bars to sit and enjoy, The Hotel looks good on the outside with neon lights with live music that was good for the older clients.

We stayed at The Sol Costablanca Benidorm for 1 week. The location is superbly located, although there is some noise from young lads and girls returning from the old town in the early hours. And I must point out they were not English. The staff in general were excellent, the receptionists and the tall, baldy Manager who's name I didn't notice were very helpful and friendly. On our last day We had an early breakfast but 1 of the waiters was reluctant to let us in even though We had told them the time we had to leave.
The food was good but we would prefer to eat earlier than 8, so I would suggest Sol alter the times of eating to 7-9 as 8-10 is far too late for us and possibly a lot more guests. I would certainly stay at this Hotel again but as it stands on a room only basis. 1 last thing on the food, sausages and onion gravy and chorizo sausages aren't the best thing for breakfasts and Oh for a proper piece of bacon instead of streaky on offer. All in all the best hotel We have stayed in, in Benidorm

Room Tip: Might be quieter if you stayed in a pool/sea view as opposed to just the sea view for sleep quality

Just returned from a one week stay in the Sol Costablanca and it was bliss. Ideally located right on the promenade. The extra for the sea view is well worth the money - the view's stunning. The temperature hit the low 40s but with the sea breeze reaching the pool area now and again, even that was bearable. Everything about this hotel is spot on. The staff are superb, very friendly and helpful. The food is fantastic - a different selection throughout the week. The rooms, the beds, the bathrooms, the balconies, the aircon, the bar area, the pool, the restaurant, the lounge area/tv room, rooms made up and towels changed daily... all first class and spotless - the list is endless. The old town is a 15 minute stroll away. The rowdier British area is a 20 minute walk the other way. We did both - strolling with the hundreds of Spanish holidaymakers along the promenade, stopping to listen to live music playing in some of the seafront bars, and returning to the hotel for a nightcap to listen to the fantastic Spanish music/singer and to watch people dancing (we really should go for lessons) - a lovely way to end the day. Then we did the Cabaret Bars in the British area and rolled in when the hotel was locked up, which was fine, our room keys unlocked the door. The bonus was that we met the night security guard who was lovely, very friendly. The buses to Altea and Finestrat are only a 5 minute walk away, both well worth a visit. Thank you to everyone involved in the Sol Costablanca, you've got it just right! And we will be returning for sure.
