“El mejor restaurante en benidorm”
Reviewed May 13, 2014 via mobile

My husband and I have visited this restaurant twice since we arrived in Benidorm on 10th May. We can both honestly say this is one of our favourite restaurants ever. The food is such a high quality and at a very reasonable price. Salvador, the young Spanish waiter is such a professional and highly attentive. The other members of staff seem of a high calibre also. If you want authentic Spanish food served by top class staff this is the place to go. Well done Salvador - you made our visits extra special. Moira and Paul.

“Mayonnaise charged as extra!”
Reviewed May 10, 2014

Stumbled upon this restaurant and thought we'd give it a try as it seemed quite busy and popular. Sat inside on rather hard wooden stools. Still, most of the customers seemed to be Spanish so thought this was a good sign. Everyone seemed to be eating mussels of some description. The menu had a good selection of fish dishes and the mussels indeed could be ordered with a huge variety of 'toppings'. Some chicken and beef dishes were also on the menu. We chose a calamari dish and a chicken dish together with a huge mixed salad, all very good. The red house wine was also fine. Anyway, we enjoyed the meal so much we returned the next day and ordered exactly the same dishes. Then, when we received the bill we discovered we had been charged extra for some mayonnaise which we had asked for to accompany the side salad that came with the chicken. We had done exactly the same thing the day before and had not been charged. It wasn't a lot but it ruined the experience for us and so we did not return. Charging for mayonnaise, whatever next!

“Hidden gem”
Reviewed May 9, 2014

Spotted this place whilst walking up one of the main streets in old town Benidorm. If you like mussels then this is the place to eat. Full of locals which is always a good sign. Only had stools to sit on which was the only down side to the place. Service and quality of dishes superb and value for money amazing. People were queuing up to get a table while we were there. 4people, 3 courses, 2bottles of wine for under 80 euros. Will definitely return.

“Mussels heaven”
Reviewed March 17, 2014

We arrived early fortunately as the restaurant filled up quicly with mainly Spanish. Vast selection of hot and cold mussel dishes. Difficult to choose so we asked if we could have 4 quater portions which was no problem for them. Attentive friendly staff serving large portions of excellent food at reasonable prices. We had 6 plates and house wine for 38€. Excellent and will return
