“Fabulous Feathered Nest hospitality”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

Sunday lunch in a stunning location. Our table was in a lovely spot and we had lovely views of the countryside. The food was lovely, two starters instea dof one main as the starters were so appealing. I had the partrige on the recommendation of the owners, great choice and beautiful presentation. We will be back. Lovely touch were the bar stools with saddles- classy!

“Great food”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

Interesting menu, good atmosphere and service, unusual and good wine list. I had grouse for main course which was simply delicious, and the raspberry souffle was first class. All the food is created and cooked in the kitchens, including the breads

“Perfect combination of food, service and setting.”
Reviewed September 30, 2013

There were 6 of us dining at the Featherd Nest for a special lunch. It was perfect. We were in the back room, overlooking the grounds. The service was outstanding - professional and friendly. Our food was delicious and beaufully presented. Quite a surprise for a restaurant in the middle of nowhere! It wasn't inexpensive, but we were felt that the prices were justified. I would definitely go back there and am excited to recommend it.

“Totally scenic restaurant with top notch food”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

My husband found a review of The Feathered Nest in the Financial Times just a month before we were to travel to the Cotswolds and I am so happy he discovered it. The Inn is off the beaten path, but well worth the effort to visit. The views are stunning and the service was wonderful. We started our evening in the warm and cozy pub and moved into the Garden Room for a lovely dinner. I would return in a heartbeat and next time we visit the Cotswolds will make sure to book early enough (dinner reservations highly recommended) to be able to stay a night in the Inn!

“Lucky escape?”
Reviewed September 21, 2013 via mobile

We turned off the main road after seeing the signs for the place - food, pint & pillow. We had travelled a long distance. When we arrived it was 2.40 pm. We were told by the bar man that food was not served after 2.30 pm. There were clearly people still eating in the restaurant but he said the bread is cooked fresh every day and there was none left even for sandwiches. We were thirsty so we had 1 glass of wine, appetiser and small bottle of still water. This came to over £13! Glancing at the specials board there was burger and chips for £18.95 with £1 supplement if you wanted cheese! MAYBE WE HAD A LUCKY ESCAPE!! I would read some if the other poor reviews about the place before going there - wish I had. This us NOT a friendly place.
