“Lovely Apartment”
Reviewed August 9, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We stayed at Casa Azucena in July 2015. The apartment was spotless, modern and compact and perfect for a family of four, with a balcony and roof terrace to add to its attraction. The apartment is situated on a very large urbanisation but the street where it was situated had a vibrant community feel to it, with lots of families, Spanish, Dutch, French enjoying the evening outside in gardens and on balconies. The weather was extremely hot in the high 30s well into the evenings, which made the apartment's air con. all the more welcome during the night.
The swimming pool area and gardens were take your own beds (or towels) and so there was no rush for a spot on a sun bed (!) and it was actually much quieter than expected and again very family orientated.
We didn't hire a car and as long as you don't mind a 10 min walk to the supermarket (do this very early) then we managed without. When we return we will hire a car to explore the area but just for a relaxing week by the pool in lovely Spanish surroundings this was great.

“Comfortable apartment, good value!”

My husband and I stayed here between Xmas & New Year 2014 with our kids. We had a great time, weather was unexpectedly warm for that time of the year: around 18 degrees most of the time, even 22 degrees when we arrived! The apartment was comfortable, reasonably clean and it was nice and quiet. The swimming pool (not heated) and football pitch are just a stone throw away & several beaches are within driving distance. What more do you want?! The only slight draw back was the air conditioning (turned to the heat - setting in the evening). It seemed to be fairly dusty and we had to turn it off. Other than that: great value for money and owner was very nice and helpful.

Have to agree with all the reviews for Casa Azucena. If you ever felt like "stop the world I want to get off" this is the place to get off! Spacious and clean, everything you could possibly need is in this apartment. Short walk to shops and restaurants, and a communal pool just 2 minutes walk around the corner. Pool is lovely, with umbrellas for shade if you want it. Julie was easy and quick to contact, and the people in the compass rental office about 5 minutes walk away were very helpful too.
Would highly recommend.

“Excellent accommodation, beautiful pool area, lovely area, great restaurants.”

This is our third year staying at Caza Azucena and as always the apartment was spotlessly clean and well looked after, a home from home. The roof terrace is great for al fresco dining in the evening, the BBQ is an added bonus. The pool area is lovely and clean and the new umbrellas by the pool this year were great. The beaches are lovely, La Mata, just a 20 minute drive is very long and less busy and was great for playing in the waves! Puccinis restaurant as always was fabulous and well worth a visit. Go-karting for kids (big and small) was great fun. Thank you to Julie for all the info she provided on the local area and for letting us stay at her lovely apartment. Maybe we'll make a fourth visit sometime!

“Gorgeous well equipped appartment”

Myself and my fiance stayed at Julie Warrens appartment from 3rd July to 10th July before moving onto another area in Spain.

Julie was very helpful in pointing out places to go, restaurants to eat and how to get there which we appreciated very much, she really was easy to communicate with and the appartment is a credit to her.

The appartment itself is in a quite area of Punta Prima set about 15 mins walk back from the beach and ten mins from the nearest commercial centres. The appartment has a huge roof terrace which gets the sun all day until sun set and it was lovely sitting on the terrace to eat on an evening. It also has a balcony seating area by the front door and access to a lovely communal pool. Even the neighbours were nice and friendly!

The appartment is very well equipped and has everything you need. It is spotlessly clean and has excellent air conditioning. It is within walking distance to the local commercial centre and beaches but i'd recommend hiring a car to head to Torrevieja or Playa Flamenca which has more beaches and restaurants etc.

If you fancy staying somewhere different and nice and quiet then i would definitley recommend this appartment, it really was a lovely relaxing break, thankyou Julie for letting us stay in your appartment.
