It looked very nice from outside however it was 5 euro's to get in so we decided not to go. Given that the other cathedrals in Spain are free to visit and are more beautiful this was a disappointment. The rest of Pamplona was beautiful.

This Cathedral holds so many beautiful surprises, you will be absolutely amazed. Go inside the nave and then turn right and visit the historical exhibition in the cloisters and beyond. Not only does history unravel before your very eyes, but it does so in a way that is both surprising and beautiful. This is a real treasure. Don't miss it.

The cathedral itself is beautiful. Lots of natural stone give an impression of grandeur and emphasise the art and religious artefacts.

The museum is an excellent blend of modern in sympathy with the old except for some weird pink section which appeared to me out of place.

If you are a pilgrim bring your credential for discounted entry and a stamp. It's well worth a visit.

This cathedral suffers from being so close to Burgos. In comparison, it was just average. Other places which are well worth a detour from Pamplona are Olite and the many little monasteries (e.g. Iranzu) and chapels that dot the countryside nearby along the Pilgrim's Way to Compostela. Olite has a fairytale castle which dominates the town and the approach ways, and is a lovely way to spend a half day. The Urbasa national park has vultures that soar so close just by your head, just a few minutes walk east from the Pto de Urbasa, that it is difficult to focus!

The cathedral is great, but what makes a bigggg difference is the fascinating Occidens exhibition. I can only recommend this one. We had the pleasure to be completely alone in the exhibition, with the quietness around you just feel this wonderful location, the buildings and the breath of history.
