Had a wonderful dinner in this buzzing, characterful bar and restaurant. The tapas tend to be on the big side- more of a mini-meal really - so we opted for seating in the restaurant at the back. What an excellent meal! The calamari paired with pardon peppers was up there with the best I've had and the Huelva prawns also done to perfection. Definitely worth a visit if in Pamplona.

Everything we had here was really good, but the pepper/cheese balls were like Heaven-in-your-mouth. Don't know what they are called or what's in them but they are the BEST! Look for them on the bar, they are golden (deep-fried maybe?) and about the size of a tennis ball. Servers/bartenders are very busy and maybe not so friendly but it didn't much matter...just get those tapas! We even went back for more the next morning but they weren't open yet.

Going for Tapas in Pamplona we followed Rick Steves advice and went here. My wife loved the décor..but we decided to try it by looking at the Tapas. All was excellent!
We really never had a bad experience with any Tapas restaurant.

If you are hooked on 'Pinchos' (Tapas in Madrid and Andalucia), La Mandarra de Ramos is the place to go. Right in the heart of San Nicolas street and a few steps from Plaza del Castillo, La Mandarra serves some of the most innovative 'pinchos' in Pamplona, a city that from a culinary stand point has nothing to envy either San Sebastian or Bilbao. All the 'pinchos' we tried (at least seven) were a delight, but I definitely recommend those that have shellfish or Iberico Ham. Prices were reasonable. You will not be disappointed!

Great place. Walking down Pamplona me and my girlfriend saw this place with all those hams and decided to get in. Right choice. They have also table (most of the people have pinchos standing at the bar but for us it is easier to sit down and eat as we usually do...) and you can have pinchos at the table until nine pm, when the restaurant service begins. Here we had 5 pinchos each, with also something special like scallops and goat cheese with caramel, and two glasses of wine. We spent 30€ for all. Very good place, nice atmosphere, nice service and a lot of pinchos choice. One suggestion: bring just one pincho at time, you will enjoy the spirit of the event more...
