Good food but dont ask for a tapa after seven thirty as you will not be entertained. Bit too stuck up.

We stumbled on this restaurant when we strolled through downtown Murcia. It had outdoor seating on a beautiful mid-day and we stopped to have some tapas and a glass of wine.
We were pleased at the reception (by Pedro, our wait person) and were more pleased by the food and the quality and friendliness of his service. It was a fairly busy time for two waiters who handled both inside and outside, but we felt well taken care of.
The food, mostly at the recommendation of Pedro, was wonderful, fresh and delicious.
Murcia, a medium-sized city with a large university population, is sort of the start of the southern Spain "attitude". If you are coming from the north, Murcia is noticeably more laid back and genial than either Valencia or Barcelona. It may not take much to be more genial than Barcelona, but Murcia is truly one of those little surprises that delights with genuine good spirit and the sense that one should enjoy the day. The people were quick to engage in conversation, helpful with directions and welcoming in every way.
Our visit here took place just a few days after the earthquake in nearby Lorca, and people had signs of encouragement and support throughout Murcia. The location is in a plaza away from the street traffic.
We would recommend this city and this restaurant to anyone visiting or passing through Murcia.
