A monumental building. I guess pretty typical for the south of Spain. We were able to see a wedding procession coming out of the Cathedral and being met my dozens of friends and relatives who were throwing colored rice over the new-wed. That was spectacular! Inside it was dim and nothing much to see, at least for me.

The Cathedral at Murcia is magnificent. Murcia is so much more than just a Cathedral City. The whole of the town is full of elegant and historic buildings. There is nothing so pleasant as sitting in one of the plazas drinking coffee surrounded by all the lovely flowers and statuary just thinking how good life can be ! One can spend hours here just looking at the beauty of the city and people watching. It's a great place do try and see it all don't just be content with the Cathedral there is so much more.having said that thevCathedral is awe inspiring in its sheer size and grandeur.

Love people watching, and the Catedral is beautiful. Ate churros and chocolate on a Sunday morning. I find peace here.

Walking into the cathedral plaza, you are confronted by the stunning facade of this building. Although each doorway has someone with a cup in hand, you realise these are local beggers. The cathedral is actually free to enter. Inside is very peaceful and beautiful. We witnessed a wedding taking place whilst wandering inside.

The plaza outside is a great place to grab a coffee & watch the world go by.
