This is well worth a visit if you're anywhere near Cartagena.
If you're driving, park in one of the port car parks and you're only a short walk away. Not only is it fascinating as an archaeological project, the fact that it was covered by newer buildings and only discovered in 1988 is incredible, even more so is the architect who has designed a museum that eventually leads up to a big reveal of the open air theatre. There is an English speaking guided tour around 1pm which lasts approximately 1 hr and is well worth hanging around for - I learnt more about the Romans way of life from the Spanish guide than any history lesson at school!
