From the moment of first booking we were impressed. Marijke, the owner, gave us plenty of help about the apartment, its location and facilities. When our flight was cancelled and we ended up arriving very late the following night - no problem, no drama. The keys were waiting for us, the beds made up and everything 'clean as a new pin'. Fabiola - who services the apartment, was delightful.
Although we didn't use them, there were multiple TVs. Also the docking station for ipad/iphone was really great for playing our own music. The kitchen was well equipped. The two bathrooms were well provided with cupboards and there was loads of storage in both bedrooms.
The view from the apartment, over the landscaped golf course including lake, was utterly restful. We could walk the path morning and evening when it was cooler. The nights were very quiet, no traffic noise at all. We awoke to the sound of birds chirping in the many nearby trees. Lovely.
The nearest beach was about 10-15 minutes away in los Alcazares, there were plenty of shops and markets nearby. The airport was 13 minutes away door to door.
A perfect getaway location.
We hope to return in 2018, with our new granddaughter!
Mar Menor Golf resort is an excellent and safe resort. Car recommended. This apartment is well equipped and maintained. Well-proportioned for 4 people, would not recommend for 6. Shower in ensuite a little weak on pressure, better in bathroom 2. Reasonably comfortable beds. Good functioning washing machine, dishwasher and other kitchen facilities. Comfortable living room furniture. Good wi-fi. Uk TV channels available in living room, TV in bedroom has non-English speaking channels only.
Patio area smaller than other apartments we have stayed in but adequate. Good external dining furniture, however outside sofa and chairs small and uncomfortable. Sunbeds were in poor condition on arrival but two were reasonably promptly replaced with new ones within a couple of days by the owner. If sunbathing within area of apartment lose sun at approx. 4:30pm in the summer, need to move away from vicinity of the apartment to the pool area etc.to continue bathing.
Housekeeper has very limited English which makes greet/ check-in information and ongoing communication very difficult unless one speaks a good level of Spanish [however the owner is contactable by email] Beds not made up on arrival which was annoying as we checked in at night and did not relish the bed making exercise after a long day’s travel. When we complained about this we were informed that 'hotel service' was not provided, however we have stayed in 4 other apartments in this resort and in all of these the beds were made up!
Overall we would recommend this apartment, just have translate ap/ Spanish dictionary ready during the greet by the housekeeper.

The apartment has everything you need for a good, relaxing holiday. It's modern, clean, well-equipped and the terrace provides you with a beautiful view over the golf course .
Upon arrival Sergio showed us the apartment and explained how everything works. If we had any questions, we could always contact him. Very friendly, helpful man!
Unlike we're used to on holiday, the beds were very comfortable. We slept like Sleeping Beauty! The wifi was stable and fast, I had no problems using Skype and browsing the internet. The resort itself is well maintained and there are lots of things to do(fitness, aerobics, wellness, golf,...). There are lots of places of interest nearby like the beaches of Mar Menor , the coastal city Cartagena and many more.
We had a splendid holiday and we'll surely come back next year!

I have been to mar menor resort a few times and love the location! Upon arrival I was to call the housekeeper which I did as soon as we landed we had to wait 30 min for him to arrive he also spoke no english which made it very hard to find him which took us a further 20 min! The apartment was lovely but if you have more than two people going don't expect everyone to get a hot shower that won't happen you are lucky to get two short showers out of the hot water! Also if you are planning on cooking you have to be very careful how many appliances you put on the fuse kept blowing if we the cooker and microwave on at the same time! Also we went to have a BBQ and there was no gas tried to call the housekeeper and because he didn't speak any english he just hung up on us. All the sunbeds that you have to take down to the pool were unfortunately broken so we had nothing to lie on which was a little anoying! Any other time I have been in a villa or apartment they leave sort cleaning products to make sure you can tidy but in this apartment there was nothing, I tidied and cleaned the day before we left having bought our own dishwasher tablets and washing powder we left all dishes clean and also stripped the beds and put all dirty towels and bedding in a pile to be washed, we had left the near enough full box of washing powder so all that had to be done was put the washing on! When I came home I got an email from the owner saying we had left the apartment a mess and he was taking €30 off my safety deposit because of this reason, I am really not happy with this because we tidy and cleaned as best we could without any cleaning products to ensure the cleaner had little to do! For these reasons I will never return to this apartment again I will 100% return to the resort as I love it there but not back here, my advise would be there are a lot of properties in this resort at a better price and with better service!
