We visited here on a Saturday afternoon at about 3pm. We initially came in for a beer before heading to the football as a group of 6. The restaurant was quiet but expected for that time in the afternoon.
Shortly after our arrival we were greeted by Alex, the owner. He spoke to us about his restaurant, the produce he grows for himself (in his 'underground greenhouse'!) and his vision for the business. After this, we decided to try the food for ourselves, which is massively influenced by Peruvian cuisine.
What followed next was, quite frankly, outstanding.
Without going into every single dish, my personal highlights were the hoi sin razor clams, the chilled mussels (served almost curried), and the most delicious soft shell crab bao bun!! Crunchy, fishy, spicy and aromatic...all served in a pillowy bun!!
Other than the food, the service was quick and friendly (but not too rushed), decor was beautiful and Alex a fascinating chap to speak to. He also very kindly comped a few of the beers. By the time we left (about 5pm) the place was packed with a really mixed crowd, enjoying amazing looking cocktails and the phenomenal food we had been lucky enough to try for ourselves!
If in Madrid don't miss the chance to visit this place!!
