“ok for a bite.”
Reviewed December 2, 2012

Tapas was ok but on my opinion i think it is overpriced, since i have had better tapas in Madrid for less. Above all no one spoke English in the restaurants, which made life difficult for us to order food. Tapas was ok but not superb.

“Yummy cod croquettes”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

Very crowded tapas place for a quick bite. We had a quick bite and drink at the bar. Very good fried cod and cod croquettes. There is a restaurant but we didn't try it.

“Fried Cod”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

Reviewed six months ago and returned to eat twice. The fried cod is very tasty and reasonably priced along with the cod croquettes. The only two complaints I have are their cana (beer) is only a little over a euro but very small compared to most places. Which ties in to the other issue that you have to usually stand outside and share a small table. They do not want you sipping a drink too long or being comfortable enough to linger past your last bite. Make room for the ever present line.

“Traditional Kitchen”
Reviewed November 9, 2012

Went there twice at lunch time. A very popular, tapas bar and restaurant among locals. There are two very small restaurants and a bar in the same address. The entrance to one of the restaurants is behind the bar, the entrance to the other restaurant is on the street. Fried cod and cod croquettes are the two specialties. An inexpensive restaurant with good traditional food and quick service by friendly waiters. The best way to find Calle Tetuan is to look for the El Cortes Inglés department store in Puerto del Sol,

“Doesn't look special but turns out to be a hot spanish tapas”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

At first glance, looks like an old bar but if you'll get there by 7-8 pm, you can get into the graet vibe of Madrid. The food is very simple, traditional, good although sometimes oily. But the atmosphere and the people there makes you feel like a local spanish who, like Madrid, never goes to sleep.
