We flew in to Madrid for the day as we were treating my parents, who are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this year. We booked in advance as we wanted to be sure of getting a table. All the reviews had said that this was a good restaurant. The reviews were right! The food was excellent, the service was very efficient and the price was incredible. We all had the set menu (three courses with lots of choice), plus a bottle of wine and a bottle of cava, all of which came to less than €100! The restaurant was very busy, always a good sign, with a wide range of people from families to business meetings. Well worth a visit and we will definitely go again - all we need is a good excuse to do another day trip. In fact, another lunch at Mercado de la Reina is all the excuse we need!!

The tapas was good.. The babyribs of lamb was not really that, too fried and just greasy. We could not eat it. We also tried the Secreto Iberico, this had a good taste but once again just served with fries. The deserts didn't feel homemade. But the worst of all was that suddenly we received the bill and they asked us to leave the table. We hadn't finished the deserts, we had almost a whole bottle of wine to finish...we managed to stay 10 more minutes....I would not go back there.

A late Sunday dinner and it could not have been better. Very busy and bustling even on a Sunday made it almost like a market atmosphere as wine was poured and tapas ordered. Food was fantastic and the wine was too. Good value, pleasant staff, highly recommended.

I visited here recently. It is in a great location. We just had some tapas and some drinks. Full of friendly locals and reasonably priced. We actually tried to go here a few nights earlier, but the place was packed. very popular.
