We had lunch at El Paraguas in June. Great weather (22 degrees), so eating outside was a good option. We had amongst others gazpacho with lobster, turbot, crab cakes, tuna tartar and deserts. Many surprising combination, executed perfectly. It's fine dining, but it come at a cost. The neighborhood is great to walk and shop as well.

This restaurant is located in the center of Madrid in a very nice (and fancy) commercial Area (Serrano) where major boutiques are found. Place is very nice and terrace (if weather is good) is also very good option. I believe you need to book in advance or there will be no table. Food is very good and specially everything related to ea and fish. Experience was very good. Price is expensive but it was worthy.

The restaurant is very nice and the tables on the streets give you a sense of Madrid at its best. The food was real good and the service very professional. A little bit expensive but worth to attend this place at least once. Fish and Rice were great dishes, We tried the Zamburinas (small scallops) and were delicious.

Hotel front desk recommended and made a reservation for my family of three. It is only about 10 min walk from the north gate of the Retiro park but is in very quite neighborhood. We were 'tourists' but were quite surprised to find that area so close to other attraction. Greeting staffs and wait staffs were all kind, professional, and efficient. Recommended menu choices tasted great. All throughout, my family really enjoyed the atmosphere there. This must be the most popular restaurant in that neighborhood, so check the availability ahead. We did through out hotel front desk. You won't be disappointed.

We had lunch here with friends and sat outside. Overall, the service was only competent, but certainly not attentive. On several occasions, we struggled to get the waiter's attention. The food was good, but not excellent. The Gazpacho of lobster was very good though. The suckling lamb was good, but I was expecting more for the prices we were charged. Very chic neighborhood.
