We've been going to this restaurant for many years but we haven't been for about a year. We got a bit fed up as their service started to slip. The last time I went I found the waiters not very attentive and not really caring about the customers or the the food, although I do have to say that the food was quite good. The restaurant has now changed hands and we were keen to see if there were any differences. We went with my sister who has Celiacs and on asking the waiter if they had gluten free bread we were immediately attended by the maître D, he was fabulous! He pointed out the sauces she could have, the fact that she couldn't have their famous butter on the baked potato and could only have normal butter etc. this maître was very knowledgeable and guided her throughout the courses, even down to the kind of liqueur she could have at the end of the meal. The food was as good as ever, the meat has just that very special taste and such a lovely flavour. It's half a cow thrown onto the table and of course for those who like their meat well done an amount is taken away to be grilled longer!! The waiters are very attentive and very helpful and I've seen such a difference in this restaurant. We had a large portion of meat to share, a baked potato each ( there were 3 of us), a portion of chips, bread, a bottle of house wine and my husband decided to have dessert. The bill came to 112€ not including service charge. Everything was lovely and we'll definitely be back!
