I had a nice time end of 2012 at Chic & Basic Colors, enjoying the quiet hotel with nice design.
Location is perfect as I could do most of my visits walking around.
The manager was nice to give me good ideas of where to eat and spend the evening.
Price is fair and incl. breakfast (own made but I didn't have problem with it), and free WiFi.
Would definetly come back there for my next trip to Madrid.

Room Tip: Maybe recommend to ask for y room not directly facing the breakfast area as it can be a bit noisy in...

The concept is very good. The breakfast area is open all day. The rooms have a machine that extracts the sewer that makes a lot of noise. If you're unlucky to have a next door guy that goes to the bathroom at 4am there's a big probability that you will wake up with the noisr.

With a good location Chic & Basic Colors is Chic and really Basic. Small rooms but with everything you need, very clean and, at least the interiors rooms with a perfect silence. The breakfast - you have to do it - is very reach.
