On route to Madrid I read the reviews for this hotel and very glad I did. I knew there was no shuttle service but as it was only 3km from the airport I didn't mind...then I read about the terrible price the taxi drivers were charging . I was disgusted the hotel allowed this to keep happening to their guests & decided I would rather spend the money on a new hotel.Under no circumstances was I going to be conned, really believe the hotel management should review their transport issue.

I booked this hotel for my husband and it was the worst thing I could have done.
This not a Hotel, its away from the airport, very hard for anyone without a car, the taxi is very expensive from the airport to the hotel, has nothing close to buy, no restaurants or markets near by.
Never stay in this place, my husband travels a lot, maybe 150 days of the Year in more than 60 countries and this was the worst place.
NOT recommend.

Dear Andy M,

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. I am very sorry to read that your husband found our location to be inaccessible for his business needs. We take all reviews positive and negative very seriously, and your feedback will help us improve for our next guest or your next visit.

Once again, many thanks for your feedback.

Sincerely,

Pam G.

definately dont stay if you have no transport. one of the very few airport hotels that does not provide any transfer facility to the terminals .unlike british holiday inn express hotels the breakfast is purely continental so if you need anything hot your probably better in the crowne plaza next door . when you add up the cost of transport to and from the airport you would be maybe better booking the hotel next door which does have the facility of transfer to the airport . limited bar and food available and nothing close by other than the hotel next door , i found the hotel staff quite friendly and helpful but i think they get sick of the stressed travellers arriving from the airport , many taxis refuse to take the short fare from the aiport so beware , not a good idea unless you have a hire car

Room Tip: away from the busy main road , where traffis builds up from 5 a m

The room was clean and nice, but no air conditioning and the window barely opened. It is not so cold outside, so it was hot. Also, they charged 3.80 euros for one hour of internet. If you went in the lobby you had to use their computers and they still charged you!

Pleasant clean and modern hotel. The staff were nice and multilingual.
Some negatives were wifi use is expensive and not free, the area around the hotel is all derelict and neglected as a result of the building bubble collapse, the local roads are unfinished and do not show on sat nav. Very close to airport a big bonus just a few minutes drive away. Over all very happy as their rates are extremely reasonable for such a nice clean and modern hotel.

OH DEAR DO NOT STAY HERE.
Dirty carpet, dirty walls, no service except breakfast, manager doesn't care, no food, bar not open, pay for internet, pay for transfer to airport. Across road crowne plaza has bar open food available all day, internet free, airport transfer free.
There is NO WHERE to get food at holiday express madrid airport. You are sent on a 10 minute walk to some obscure place that looks like it is out of a B grade movie set in the 1800's. Not funny or acceptable/ When you inquire about food or even nuts or chips/nibblies you are referred to a vending machine. Who is going to buy a sandwich from a vending machine. This place has a kitchen how hard would it be to provide a bagel, sandwhich, drink?? DO NOT STAY HERE

Room Tip: ADVICE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE the piramides in madrid is better
