We travelled here on 28th feb 2019 for 3 nights, and absolutely loved our stay. The hotel was modern and upto date, and very clean. The staff on reception were all friendly and did all they could to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was lovely and plenty to choose from.

We didn’t want to leave and would absolutely stay again when we next visit Madrid.

great location near plaza espana
very clean room - towels changed and room cleaned every day

parking a little bit expensive (24 EURO per day)
a little bit noisy in the morning because of the school in front of the hotel

After a couple hotels were unable to accomodate our family of 5, this hotel had adjoining rooms available for a good enough price. The sheets aren't the best and also had hair in them. The front desk staff was mildly accommodating and conversant in English or Spanish when needed. The room included an equipped kitchenette.

Room tip: Rooms in front face directly into a loud school courtyard

Basic room in a clean and comfortable hotel. Great location, very central on a quiet street. Weekdays might not be so quiet with school across the road. Good breakfast, not expecting much as it was only £7.50 per person but there was fruit, cereal, toast, cold meat, pastries and hot options as well as tea & coffee. Shower was excellent. Staff were friendly and provided us with recommendations for where to eat and drink. Beds were comfortable and larger than singles. Safe available in each room. Free wifi. Would definitely stay here again.

We had three nights at Suites Viena and loved our time here. The hotel is modern, clean and functional. The rooms are very spacious, with plenty of storage space, a dining table and two chairs and two comfy chairs and coffee table. It was a nicely decorated and well planned out room with plenty of sockets and good lighting (quite often not the case in hotel rooms), and looked like it had all been renovated relatively recently. The bathroom was spacious with a shower and a short bath. The kitchen area was basic but sufficient with a small hob, microwave, kettle, sink and good-sized fridge (you have to take the mini-bar items out first). There was limited equipment and utensils but enough to make a basic meal and plates/cups/glasses/cutlery etc (just 2 of each). There was a sign saying that any further equipment was available from reception but we managed with what was there so didn’t ask. No tea and coffee provided but we always take our own so that was no problem. The double bed and pillows we had on our second and third nights were really comfortable. The wifi was good, everything was very clean and housekeeping was great. The room was hot even though it was unusually cold outside but the window opens fully so it soon cooled down. The window soundproofing wasn’t brilliant during the day (the noise from the school didn’t bother us as we were up and out early) and at night the traffic all but stopped so no problem there. Thick blackout curtains kept out the light. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, particularly the lady on in the evenings (I think her name was Ana), nothing was a problem and kept our luggage for us after we checked out. The hotel is very well located in a safe area on a quiet side street just off Plaza de Espana and less than 5 minutes walk from the metro station, Temple of Debod and Gran Via and less than 10 minutes walk to the Royal Palace. Anything further away is easy to get to by metro if you don’t want to walk. There are plenty of small supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Very easy to reach by metro from the airport with only one change. Our only complaint is that despite requesting a double bed before our arrival we were given a room with two single beds. When we asked to change rooms we were told there was nothing else available that night but we could change the next day. We had a very bad first night as the two beds kept sliding apart and were in danger of falling down the gap. The next morning we had to pack and vacate the room in the morning, leave our baggage in reception and unpack again in our new room at night. It was a tad inconvenient but worth it to get a proper bed, and to be fair the staff were very apologetic and helpful so 10 out of 10 to them. It wouldn’t put us off staying again but hope that they would take notice of our request next time!
