“an excellent stay!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2014

the hotel and I had a very short email conversation about how do I get from the Madrid Airport to the hotel. Short and to the point, and they were correct! They knew as I was coming from the states that I would most likely be tired and in need of a shower. so when I arrived at a little past 10 or 11, i really was too tired to notice, imagine my surprise to find my room ready and waiting for me!!
Excellent service, lovely people who all spoke english, some better than others, but all very well.
asking directions at the front desk was easy, local things to see, etc. Plaza Espana at the end of the street, the Royal palace, very close, Principe Pio shopping mall and metro a few blocks away..
The Grand Via shopping district, all within an easy walk. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

Room Tip: There is no restaurant in the hotel but they do serve breakfast every morning. If you do not wish t...

This was our 3rd stay in this hotel. At check-in, I discovered I had made a booking mistake that could have been costly ; they corrected it at no charge .Asked for and was given (as last two stays) a quiet room at the back; dishes were made available allowing us to make use of the small kitchen. They often have breakfast specials ; this time 50% off on the 2nd one-just inquire at check -in. Bed was comfortable, TV and Internet worked fine, room was clean. The staff was as usual competent and helpful in excellent English.
While the hotel is not next to the main muséums(Prado...) , it is fairly central and very close ( 5minute walk max) to the Plaza Espana metro station.
This is where we will stay when next in Madrid.
Should you need to wash clothes go to Yulienka at Trav Conde Duque 5( 10 minutes walk from hotel ) ; you leave the clothes in the morning and pick them up in late afternoon washed and folded -12 euros for a medium size load.
And for a different museum experience visit the Sorolla museum a Spanish impressionist painter: many Spanish visitors but very few non-.

Dear Guest,
It is a real honour for us to accommodate you every time you are in Madrid.
And it is really helpful for us to get comments from our guests.
It is a daily exam we are pleased to go through and we are very grateful for having people like you who deddicate your time to let us improve!
Maybe some people don´t know we are just 200 meters far from Plaza de España and so close to Gran Vía (Gran Vía ends in Plaza de España) and the Royal Palace. And, also, the awesome Egyptian Temple at just a 2 minute walk (Debod Temple).
Our rooms have a kitchenette and we provide guests with the kitchen utilities at NO cost. Also, we have the Junior Suite with a 23m2 terrace.
Thank you again for being faithfull to Suites Viena and, above all, for taking the time to write your opinion on this great Plattform.
Best Regards from Suites Viena´s Staff

Stayed for 6 nights over Christmas. The reception staff are really friendly and security is good - they really do know who is coming and going. Great location - near enough to where is is all happening (Gran Via) but far enough for it to be quiet. Close to Metro Plaza de Espana.

The room we had was super clean and spacious. Well equipped with large bed, flat screen TV, table, airchairs and a small kitchenette - great if you don't want to eat out every night (we self catered on Christmas day with fresh market food). Ask reception for untesils and they will be delivered to your room.

As mentioned the bathrooms are a bit compact - but nothing too small. Good to have free wifi!

Good value for a great hotel - would definitely re-visit when in Madrid again.

Room Tip: We had a room at the back of hte Hotel, which was nice and quiet. We almost booked the Junior Suite...

Very nice hotel.. rooms are clean and spacious. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Right down the road from Temple of Debod and the palace. Bit of a hike to all the main attractions though. Good value and nice rooms overall!

We stayed here at the beginning of November for three nights and it was great; a really enjoyable stay in a clean, uncluttered, comfortable and relaxing hotel with a great location.

I stayed at this hotel back in 2010 and really enjoyed it. Whilst planning this trip to Madrid, it was the first hotel I checked out and seeing that it was till great value for money I booked. I was not disappointed. The rooms are a good size and very uncluttered, almost Scandinavian in design. The beds are huge and each room has a small kitchen area - good for making tea or coffee and maybe breakfast but no more. The bathrooms are small but this was not a huge priority for us.

The Hotel is in a quite street just off Plaza de España. There's much talk in these reviews of some noise from the school opposite but that didn't bother us as we were up early every morning to go for a run in Park Oeste, which is a couple of hundred metres away.

The hotel is in a great location for sightseeing; the royal palace, opera house and cathedral are all no more than 15 minutes walk away. Gran Via is but a stone's throw and Plaza Mayor is no more than 20 minutes away. The Prado is a bit further but you'll easily get there in about 30 minutes and it's a lovely walk through Madrid whichever route you take.

The service at the hotel is good and friendly, with a "Hola" every time you pass reception. I'd recommend this hotel as well worth a try. It's comfortable and convenient and good value for money.

we stayed at suites viena for five nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. the front desk staff were excellent. friendly and efficient. the room is a generous size compared to many hotels in large cities, and even smaller ones. there is a microwave, fridge, sink and stovetop and if you ask you will get dishes, utencils and a kettle as well as cleaning up liquid and sponge. very handy if you don't want to eat every meal at a restaurant. the walls appeared to be freshly painted and the beds are very comfortable. pillows in spain tend to be long and thin compared to the fat and shorter american ones. the comforter was great and i'm going to find one when i return to the states. the a/c worked really well. housekeeping did a very good job.
the only negative side is the compact bathroom. it is quite small.
the hotel is located in more of a residential neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and small shops but only a short walk to a beautiful park, the palace, el corte ingles and other larger stores. it's not tourist central which is a great thing.
ask for a room at the back as it is extremely quiet while the front rooms are on the road and across from a primary school where the kids seem to spend a fair amount of time in the yard.
if i return to madrid i would definitely stay at this property and i highly recommend it.

Room Tip: room 409 or other room at the end of the hall in the back of the hotel...not along the street.

We stayed in madrid only for 3 days. and it was wonderful. Hotel is perfectly centrally located.its just 5min walk from plaza de espana and gran via. Even for hop on n hop off bus you can catch bus 2min walk away from hotel.
Only my concern was During check in one of the staff was busy issuing bus tickets to another guest for 45min and we were told to wait which disappointed us beacuse for hotels first priority is always to attend guest who just came from long flights and if you you want to still issue bus tickests than you need to have 2-3 staff at one time so that every guest can be attended at same time.

But yes this deny the fact Hotel was amazing and rooms were spacious and small kitchens helps lot if you are vegeterian like us.

Just cant Hotel suffer beacuse of one staff. so Highly recommend to stay here:)
