The hostal is terrible. Checked in around 8pm, the guy was more interested in talking to his wife on the phone during whole check in process (10mins) He didnt look at us once or seem bothered when we checked in. I work in Madrid, and speak spanish but Im Irish. This guy didnt want to talk english when he needed. Dont expect them to make too much fuss or effort in helping any way or talking in english.
The pillow cover, only covered half the pillow and the sheets was also a little small for the bed.
The room was very hot although we had to sleep with the windows open and the fan on all night which meant we couldnt sleep much with the noise.
The room looked into a large concrete wall on 9th floor. Not nice. looked like a prision cell.
We paid 20euro for the night, and I thought it was a bargain at the time... until we arrived.
Upon checking out, my wife was asked to pay 2euro extra per suitcase for leaving the luggage with them for a few hours whilst we had lunch as I had to work that day in madrid and couldnt take all the luggage to the office.
