“Great location!”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

My husband, daughter (13) and I just stayed at the Hotel Miau for 3 days. Excellent value for the price. Compact rooms but wonderful location. Aside from one night when the people in the room next store came back around 1am a little over-served, the room was very quiet. Tremendous location if you like to walk - to the Prado, Plaza Mayor, Royal Palace.... Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Nice breakfast buffet downstairs in the restaurant - eggs, toast, yogurt, coffee. If you're looking for a bargain (and a pretty simple room), this is a good place to stay.

Located on the corner of Santa Ana, Hotel Miau enjoys a good central location within easy walking distance of Puerta del Sol, bars, restaurants and tourist sites (although I recommend buying a Madrid travel card at Barajas Airport, first to get to the hotel - Sevilla metro station is a few minutes walk away - and then to travel around central Madrid). Our room was double glazed (so quiet despite overlooking Santa Ana) with balcony, satellite TV and complimentary WiFi. Great room-only deal and plenty of nearby breakfast and dining opportunities.

The hotel is within walking distance to Puerta del Sol, metro service and the shopping district of Madrid. There are many restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel (including the hotel restaurant which was very good). The room was a good size with a Queen bed and big bathroom with a liquid body wash dispenser in the shower.
The walls were a bit thin so we could hear noise from the corridor/adjacent rooms, and the TV remote only worked if you stood up ans pointed the remote to the TV, due to the height it was mounted at.
The hotel reception was quite helpful and available 24/7. The buffet breakfast provided good variety as well. Overall, great value for money.

Our 2-family group had two triple rooms. Would suggest asking for #28 rather than #29, as 29 is next to the elevator, stairs and housekeeping supply room, so there is considerable noise. Room 28 is a bit larger as well. Overall a food stay, especially for the room rates.

Overall we were very pleased with our stay at this hotel.Location is perfect and staff very friendly and helpful On the down side rooms were a bit noisy especially plumbing from adjacent rooms and the breakfast was a bit of a disappointment where choice was limited and you only got one of everything ie 1 coffee 1 orange juice and one slice of toast no refills etc.

We went for breakfast there and the old man at the bar was so confused that he kept getting the orders wrong and when we corrected him he kept swearing in spanish in a low voice. Later at the table, the service was hurried stressed and angry...they even served our orange juice in a smaller glass than the others...don't ever go for breakfast there!

I stumbled across this hotel by chance and what a find! It's a small hotel, but in the most perfect location!
Situated on the corner of the beautiful Plaza Santa Ana, it's a bustling square with lovely bars/cafes serving anything from breakfast to tapas.
The rooms face onto the square, but they have good sound proofing, I wouldn't say it was completely sound proofed, but I thought it was fine.
It's location is just the best thing about it - very easy to get to all places in beautiful Madrid.

The staff are all very friendly and accommodating, the rooms are a good size and clean, the shower is nice and powerful!

I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Most rooms face the Plaza Santa Ana, It's a bustling square with cafes and bars, so can be a lit...
