a good place to eat with nothing exceptional on the card, prices are OK, service is OK as well. there is no need to go there extra, but if You are around-it might be a good option for a quick lunch

I live in the area and like to drop into Ana La Santa because of it's location and lovely space. The staff however, very often are aloof, indifferent and unprofessional. Even when the place is not busy, I've stood at the bar for several minutes and the few staff members present didn't even acknowledge my presence. One was cleaning the coffee machine, the other was sorting wine bottles. So, zero excuse to not leave that to one side and -at the very least- greet a customer. Another time I witness a spat between two employees. So: all in all, the place is very classy, but the staff and the service is, sadly, not.

We enjoyed our pre-dinner there - it's not the cheapest place to have food, but the quality of the food is good and what we ordered was very tasty!
For one large salad, avocado-tuna tartar-rolls and 4 pieces of baby squid with asparagus + 1x peach juice (not fresh) and 1x glass of white wine we paid around 40€.
The service was friendly and quick! We'd come back if Madrid hadn't more to offer!! ;)

This is a good place to go if you like a stylish setting and decent food and don't want to stagger too far from the outside bars in Plaza del Angel or Santa Ana. It looks quite upmarket but we were made welcome even though we were slightly scruffy! We had a vegan with us which can prove tricky in Madrid but by picking a slightly odd combination of plates, we had an enjoyable meal. We had vegetable paella, asparagus with romesco sauce (green asparagus - delicious), baby beans with chilli and sesame, grilled scampi with garlic and chilli oil (not for the vegan obvs) and papayas with a dressing. We drank rather a lot including a Margherita, beer and rose wine. Really enjoyed the evening - staff were friendly and patient.
