While the biggest draw here is seeing the Don Quixote/Cervantes statues, it is absolutely a beautiful park, and deserves a visit. Combine it with Almudena (and the silly palace if you must).... I didn't find it crowded at all, so was able to enjoy a slow stroll and coffee as I made my way.
