“Quiet hotel in an okay location”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

Good location, close to the hustle and bustle of Madrid. The hostel is located on the 7th floor of a apartment building- but there's two elevators.
The staff were good- he allowed us to drop our bags off earlier than check in time. The room we had faced the street, a bit noisy and very bright in the morning. The hostel is quiet. Not much going on. Just beds, bathrooms and kitchen. Facilities were okay, but not spectacular.Would recommend to backpacker needing some quiet. Or older crowd trying to avoid hostels.

We chose this hostel for its location. The staff was helpful and nice. The breakfast okay, although one morning there was no butter. There is only one room facing away from the street, all other rooms face the street. The windows are very old and don't close properly. Even with gutters it was the street noises were pretty loud. Cleanliness was okay.

Room Tip: There is one room facing away from the street. That would be the winner...

When our cab driver dropped us off, we were amazed that we were right in the middle of the city. It was late and there were still tons of people walking the streets. We were a little confused on where to go because there were no signs that said the name of the hostel. Once inside, the staff were very friendly and sweet. Our room was a private 4-person, and there are 3 bathrooms that everyone shares but it was okay since the hostel isn't very big to begin with. There is a kitchen and a washer, and a simple breakfast in the morning. Overall, an excellent choice to stay when visiting Madrid!

The location is really nice and makes it easy to walk places for sightseeing. The rooms were also very well kept and the private rooms were exactly what we were looking for. The service was quick and when we asked for something, they were very helpful! My only criticism is that the hostel is slightly difficult to find because its the 7th floor of a large building and there are very few signs telling you where to go. But other than that, the experience was wonderful!

My friends and I stood there for three days and we felt so comfortable that after touring Europe we decided to return back to the hostel for our final night abroad. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They were available 24hrs a day and always willing to help with anything that we needed. They provided great recommendations on what to do during our stay in Madrid. The hostel is very clean and safe.

There are lots of positive things to say about this hostel, including very friendly, english speaking staff. We arrived to the hostel early, and our bags were swiftly taken and safely stored, and we were given a map of the city and great instructions on how to get to the sites in the area. MuchoMadrid is central and is near to the Metro, lots of sites and places to eat. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, as were the bathrooms, clean towels were supplied, free wi fi and there were lockers in each room. Our room even had aircon! Breakfast is also provided. We were leaving the hostel at 7am the next day, and the staff kindly organised everything to be ready for us early, so we could have brekky before we left- brilliant! The only negative was our room had a bit of noise from the street below, but nothing we couldn't live with. Great value!! Thanks MuchoMadrid!:)
