“Lovely hotel in a good location”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

We were attending a wedding in MAD so my husband & I (incl a baby) stayed here for 2 nights in early Oct. Allow 30mins if taking a taxi from the airport, to allow for traffic which can be very busy at times in this busy city.

Juan on the front desk spoke fluent English & was most helpful with recommendations & very friendly and informative. The room was of a good size with a comfortable double bed and ample pillows. As we were travelling with an infant they also remembered to put a travel cot in our room with clean bedding. The bathroom was lovely, big and very clean and inviting.

Room service was also good with a decent selection of dishes to suit all, prices were also reasonable. There are ample eateries within walking distance of the hotel and Juan was kind enough to recommend a few places where the locals dined. A continental style of breakfast was served with a satisfactory choice selection, this is typical of european breakfasts.

The only negatives of our stay were 1) the room was sometimes too cool with having a baby in it & the thermostate didn't seem to work properly 2) It can be a little noisy at weekends in the bars below & neighbouring streets and 2) there are no kettles in the room for making / warming up bottles which made things a little difficult for us as my husband had to constantly be going downstairs to collect hot water for making up bottles. This I feel is something that should be standard in a 4star hotel of this calibre. Other than that there were no other negatives.

We would gladly consider staying at this hotel again, providing they include kettles in the rooms! :)

Room Tip: In the centre of the hotel

Dear family,

Thank you to share your experience in our hotel with all the future travelers. The feedbacks of our guests are very important for us because they help us to improve all our services.

We appreciate all your nice words about our hotel staff, room services, breakfast and our room facilities, thank you.

We are located in Chueca district. It is full of live during the day and also at night. The advantage of our location is that we are close to all the life but far enough to don’t hear the noises. It is true that sometimes there is some noise on the street but can not forget that we are located in the heart of a big city like Madrid.

We take note about all your negatives points and you can be sure that we will considering on our next rooms facilities update.

Best regards

Very helpful front desk staff. The restaurant and bar area staff were warm and friendly too. The room we had was quite small, but that is normal for Europe. It was still clean and comfortable. It's a block in from the Gran Via so it's well located.

Dear guest,

Thank you for the nice words you dedicate to our staff and our location, we appreciate it.

Our standards rooms have from 19 to 25 square meters; it is a very good size if we compare with other hotel in Madrid centre. We always recommend our superior rooms with balcony… They have from 28 to 35 square meters and for a little more it worth.

If you book in advance you will benefit with great discounts in both room types.

We hope you can visit us again very soon.

Best regards

Good value, nice facilities, good service, close to lots, and wonderful restaurants and bars surround it.

We found it quiet, comfortable, and it made our holiday to arrive here first. We had 2 x 2 days stays with a trip south in between.

We stayed here for 6 nights whilst in Madrid for a conference. It is located in a side street calle infantas opposite a Starbucks and the best restaurant ever 'El Original' where gourmet main meals are just 10-12 euro!! The rooms are clean, air con a little on the cold side, but overall very pleasant. The bathrooms have large baths complete with bath robes. There is a decent sized tv and also tea/coffee facilities however a little stingy on the milk!! Ask at reception and they get you some lol. The free wifi is good too. The staff are very friendly, especially at the reception desk.
The buffet breakfast is OK. Good variety and reasonable although not the selling feature if the place as at times the waitress did not refill dishes that were low on quantity. Ask for cappuccino coffee and they will bring you one promptly :)
Overall I liked this hotel and the restaurant across the road! Would stay here again.

Dear guest,

Thank you very much for your remarks about the hotel staff, room facilities and our location.

It is very important for us to know our guest’s opinion, because we try to ensure that the customers have a pleasant and excellent service, thank you for your feedback. It is why we appreciate all the details you comment about the breakfast, we are working hard to improve it.

In the hotel area you will find a lot of good restaurants, tapas bar… We recommend for example Ex Libris, The Original, Mercado de San Antón… all of them offer a very good value for money.

We hope to see you soon

Best regards

We stayed in hotel from 13-16 September 2012, booked hotel just relying on tripadvisor and it was a total success! Very friendly, helpful and hospitable members of staff. Hotel is on the back street, parallel to Gran Via. 5min walk to Bank Espania Underground/Metro Station and on walking distance to most of the great landmarks of the city. Furthermore it is in a hart of the night life of the capital, clubs, bars and great restaurants just on a door step.
Despite such a central location it is quiet and peaceful in the room. Beds are very comfortable and its a pleasure to chill out or rest.

Thank you very much and we definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We stayed in Superior Room 208, highly recommend.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel 8/29 - 9/1. What a treat! Our experience was wonderful from the moment we checked in. The room we had was clean, roomy, and quiet. Also, the hotel is very close to the Chueca and Gran Via Metro Stations. The wifi in the hotel worked just fine as well. The hotel is within walking distance to many sites and attractions. We heard lots of great things about the San Miguel Mercado and we were encouraged by the hotel to check out the San Anton Mercado. It was fantastic! Make sure and try the sangria at the wine bar on the 3rd floor. It was a tasty treat! We will definitely be back to this hotel on our next trip to Madrid. Thanks guys for an awesome visit to Madrid!

We only stayed 2 days at the Lusso Infantas, so the location was a priority. This hotel is very good located in the Gran Via and very close to the metro station which can take you anywhere in Madrid.

The staff was very polite, but the restaurant was very expensive.

The room was good, quite big, with a great bed and a great bathroom. The only problem we had was the A/C.. the control device wasn't working so it was freezing! (we had to sleep with a winter blanket, although it was summer with 34°C) Since it was on a weekend they said they couldn't repair it, although they did offer to change us to another room.

Although everything was quite good, it didn't look as a 4 stars hotel.

Dear traveller,

We are sorry because the hotel didn’t cover all your expectations, we will work harder to improve all the service we offer.

Thank you for the nice words you dedicate to our staff and our rooms, we appreciate it.

Ex libris, our restaurant, is one of the most popular restaurants in Madrid. You can read about it in the vast majority of the website including tripadvisor. Normally the customers appreciate the great value for money that the restaurant offers. For example we offer a tasting menu with a 50% off for our guest at the price of 21€, it is a very competitice price if we compare with similar restaurants in the area.

We are sorry for the inconvenience with the AC. We work hard to keep all our installations in best conditions and when we have any problem in the hotel rooms and we can not repair it we always offer other room. For the entire of the hotel staff the most important is that our guest lives the best possible experience.

Best regards
