This was the first stop on our honeymoon. The hotel was recommended by friends of ours that are from Madrid. Spent 4 days here. The location is NEW, safe, quiet... super clean hotel & rooms, so warm welcoming and modern. The concierge was great, they booked us an amazing Flamenco show. Our room had an awesome balcony that has an automatic sun cover when the sun is too bright, a little kitchenette. For two people over 6' the rooms were definitely small but there was something charming about that. Also, we spent most of our time walking around the city (great location) or on the balcony enjoying some wine so we were not very high maintenance.

Very good room, clean, spacious, with a kitchen embeded and a good shower. Fast connection free wi-fi. The location is excelent, in a quiet street, but still close to the city center and to the metro station. The only downside was the clerk that made the check in. He looked like very bored with his profession. But the rest of the time the clerks were friendly. I do recommend this hotel.

Stayed only for one night, excellent sums the hotel up, its not huge, but the rooms are immaculate, well sized and ideal for a couple or with a child) Large kingsize bed, writing desk, flat screen tv (though only could get about 6 channels - strange CNN only UK language) large bathroom, very good shower... air conditioned, kitchenette and stocked minibar. Its about 100 at the time of writing this review... in a nice way its good to keep this type of hotel under wraps.... but its a place id have no hesitation to recommend or stay at time and time again.

Couple of other points... its well positioned in the city, its is by the "Ministry of the Interior" and armed police are patrolling 24/7 and for example I had a hire car & was stopped by the police... but mentioned I was staying in the hotel etc... so security is really high.... oh it has a car park also just under €20 per night to park.

The hotel has a pool, so in the summer ideal to cool off..

Hope you enjoy it... there is nothing any reasonable person staying could moan about...

My husband and I had a very pleasant stay from September 21 till 25. It is beautiful, clean, safe and peaceful. The atmosphere of the hotel gives you a feeling of luxury and welcome. The room is large and has a very good maintained spacious bathroom, a small kitchenette with all you need to have a breakfast: even table cloth and macchiato to make a coffee. Everything is new. The location of the hotel is perfect- close to the city center in a luxury neighborhood, close to the metro, bus stop, a nice market and a supermarket just 10 minutes walk. The street is very quiet and safe, the sleep quality is perfect. The bed was large and very fine. Very good and not expensive restaurants are just around the corner. We had a very good time.
You can rent a notebook for 6 EUR per day. It would be nice to have an internet point with Skype.

Room Tip: room 302 - loved it

This is a lovely boutique hotel which is well maintained and very clean. The hotel staff are really helpful in particular reception who offer a friendly greeting. The pool area is very clean and has a lovely water feature along one side, be prepared though, the water is on the cool side as the pool is relatively shaded by surrounding buildings. It is however very refreshing after a days sight seeing and is a nice feature to the hotel as a lot of the city centre hotels don't have pools...even if it is just to dip your feet in while you read a book!
The rooms are nicely decorated however, they are slightly smaller then is portrayed on the photos. We had one of the executive suites which had a little kitchenette and a sun terrace. The sun terrace was a really lovely feature and had views towards Plaza Colon. The drinks both within the mini-bar and also in the hotel were reasonably priced.
The hotel is a walkable to the town centre however, it is a bit of a walk. You can however get the number 150 or the 50 bus from the main road near the hotel for 1.50 euros, and these are frequent. If you want to go into the town centre frequently then the metro is not the best option from this hotel due to the line that it is located on, however the metro is a reasonably easy option to travel from the airport along with an express bus service. Taxis are reaonably priced at arounf 7 euros to the centre, however the driving can be a little eratic!
The town centre is lovely, and I would definately recommend the market located next to Plaza Mayor, it is more of a deli than a market and has a wine bar to boot where glasses of wine are around 3 euors a glass.
If you want to stay more local to the hotel, then there are some nice bars located amongst the high end shopping street and on the main parade heading towards the city centre. There is a lovely bar called tomate which is also round the corner from the hotel and seems very popular on most evenings and serves a nice glass of wine

The Amador is known as the most design appart-hotel in Madrid, and this is true. Rooms are big and decorated in style. You can find everything you would expect from a good hotel room, from bath amenities to slippers, complimentary wifi and cd:dvd player.

The kitchenette is handy, but rather small (2 dishes, 2 forks, 2 knifes, 2 glasses, that's it !). So good for breakfast, but don't expect cooking al your meals every day there. We were missing a spoon and some coffee cups, and the staff did directly bring additional ones upon our request. They also clean the dishes (which is nice !).

The Amador is located a bit above he Madrid city center, but close enough to allow easy discovery of the city by foot. And two subway stations are close as well. The neighborhood of the hotel is über-quiet, as the hotel is located next to some kind of official building constantly under police surveillance.

We also never encountered any other customers during our 5 nights stay...

Good points :
- location
- room and decoration
- sound isolation
- friendly staff

Can be improved
- no coffee / thee making possibilities and tiny fridge full of mini-bar stuff (a pity in an appart-hotel !)
-shower / bath rather dark (no lights) and not as "fresh" as the rest of the bathroom

We stayed 3 nights in AdeR hotel. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The location is good, very close to the Colon roundabout, Metro station and if you fancy walking it is around 25 to 30 mins to Plaza del Sol. We stayed one night in a standard room and two in a balcony one. I have the impression that the standard is in fact bigger, so I would recommend to got for this.
