I cant complaint about the price for 20 euros a night, its about 10 mins walk from the metro station and 3 mins walk from bus stop, 5 mins from a taxi station its not in the center of Madrid but there are nice restaurant, pharmacy and everything else in just a few mins walk. cleanliness is excellent. was winter wen i went there and the heating is good. breakfast is good. down side is the hairdryer you have to put 10 euro deposit and you have to ask it on the front desk.

This was my second time here. Once again, it fitted the bill perfectly. Clean presentable rooms at a good price. As others have said, 53 bus right outside the door, 25mins and you are in Porta de Sol. Night bus N3 every twenty minutes through the night from Plaza de Cibeles right to the opposite corner. Arrived early so dropped bags at the hotel, no charge. Left late so left the bags with the same arrangement. Asked for tea making equipment for the room. no problem.
Bus 122 to/ from Ave de las Emericas, from the same stop as the 53, cross the road and you are on the 200 airport bus, could not be easier. The opposite is obviously the way to get to the hotel.
If you want to save some money to spend on the things to do and see in Madrid, this is the place.
TOP TIP. When you arrive at the airport, make the walk to the Metro station and get a Billete de turistico from the machine. Not easy to find, listed under" otras billetes" ( other tickets).
1,3,5 and 7 day validity. Zone A gives you free travel on all the buses and metro, including the 200 airport bus. Five day ticket is around 25 eu. Free wifi on all the buses, so time spent on the bus to town can be used to check emails etc.

A typical travelodge, spotlessly clean with the usual facilities. Hotel staff very friendly and willing to give you information and time. We didn't have food or drinks in the hotel as there are many restaurants within walking distance. The bus stop for madrid city centre is right outside, we never had to wait more than 5 minutes ( 1.5 euros to city).

All in all we had a great stay and you couldn't get a youth hostel or camping pitch for the price we paid. I fully recommend this hotel if you are not bothered by the 'no frills' approach of Travelodge.

Happy to find this was exactly the same as in England and great value for the exchange rate as booked six months earlier but you pay on arrival at the agreed booking cost.

Definitely easiest to get on the bus outside and enjoy the wifi on the trip into Central Madrid. We Didn't even look for the metro.

Bus from the airport will feel like you are getting off on a motorway... But it is only maximum ten minutes walking to the travelodge, and all flat. Over the bridge, past the Carrefour, turn right walk on past the telefonica building and Mamma Mia, and VIPs, then it's next door to ChinChin. I would look up the route on google if you plan to do this and aren't feeling confident.

I stayed here on a school trip with 11 kids. The rooms were clean and big enough. The problem, wifi. The wifi was limited to 30 minutes a night per room. Some of my students had never been out of the country before and this was the first day of our trip. They needed to contact home. Most of them were in quads. 30 minutes divided by 4 kids is 7.5 minutes. That's definitely not enough time. Also, the staff spoke English, but the front desk people were rude. I won't be coming back.

Hello, thank you very much for you review. We will try to solve the customer care from your staff, of course is one of our priorities to our customers. About WIFI for the moment we have only free wifi in reception, anyway it is possible to pay for Wifi in the rooms. We are sorry, we are a low cost chain and we tray to avoid extras in order to give the best room price. Thank you anyway for you feedback.

Superb value at £20 for 2 nights in the sale. Clean and quiet rooms. On a direct bus route and not far from a metro stop. Safe feeling neighbourhood during the day and night, being away from the city centre didnt bother me. Also not far from the airport. Would stay again.

I stayed 2 nights there. Room and bathroom was clean, room bigger then expected. Place is quiet, but we were a bit unlucky first night which has been disrupted by drunk english guys who triggered fire alarm at 4am, But the other night was ok, even when there were about 30 teenagers. We ordered Lasagne for food, and this was the worst I've ever had. I did not risk other food, maybe this was just some "mistake". Anyway I would book night there again.
