The winebus is good for someone who is looking to venture away from the usual tour offerings. The group is usually smaller than a bus, more like a van. Ignacio takes you to a small winery near Madrid. Quite often the winery is a labor of love on the part of the owners. The wines are practically hand made, in small batches. You will meet local Spanish people, experience the Spanish country side, enjoy a Spanish lunch, followed by an activity before returning to Madrid. He does all the driving, translates the Spanish into English, and we learn how the locals live. The two trips I took were mushroom hunting in the wooded hills, accompanied by an expert in mushrooms, and a visit to Segovia (with the famous Roman aqueduct which is still functioning) , and lunch on tapas and wine. It is a fine way to spend a Saturday getting to know some real Spanish flavor.
Check out his trips every Saturday. I'm sure you will find something that interests you.
