The apartment is in a fantastic location to walk to all of the major sights in the city and just a short walk from the train station. The accommodations were lovely and Cesar was a very gracious host.We ate at some of the restaurants he recommended which were excellent and he even scheduled a taxi for us to the airport! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It is spacious, clean and comfortable. We arrived into Madrid by train and walked the short distance to the property. The instructions on how to find the property were clear and Cesar met us on arrival. Thoughtful touches like maps, water and juice in apartment. Apartment in safe area and within easy walk of Prado and Thyssen Bornemisza Museums and other sights. Lots of cafés, restaurants and bars nearby. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful, clean apartment in centre of Madrid, ideal as a base for a stay in the city. Owners had left maps for us, and highlighted places to eat within walking distance. Little touches like milk and water in the fridge on arrival were welcome and generous. Wi-fi available. Bed and pillows very comfortable, open and sunny lounge area, kitchen with all relevant appliances.
Some excellent restaurants and cafes within walking distance: Cafe Belle Bon Bon (for a lovely Cafe con Leche), Tuk Tuk (South Asian restaurant), Indian Aroma, La Cabana (Argentinian - best steak ever!) and BambuBox (Thai).
Also within walking distance of Atocha station. Note that at Madrid Airport you need to get the train to Atocha station from Terminal 4 (T4); if you fly into Terminals 1-3 you need to get the free bus to T4 that shuttles between the four terminals.
I would definitely recommend staying here if you are traveling as a couple.

Highly recommended apartment in a brilliant location. Owners are very nice and approachable - book with confidence. Best way to get there from the airport (T1) is to use the free bus to Terminal 4 and get the Renfe train to Atocha station - only 2.6 Euros. It's a ten minute walk from there. Beers in Restiro park, curry at Indian Aroma, pizza at La Pizzateca and Thai at Bambuhouse all within ten minute stroll. There are literally a thousand Spanish restaurants within 2 miles - take your pick!
The apartment was immaculate and in a very safe and fun area. I would highly recommend staying here. The owners were awesome, very helpful and left maps and food for us.

We had a little trouble finding the address as there appeared to be two different addresses given. This was sorted out with some, (expensive) phone calls to Cesar. His son Jorge met us and was extremely informative and caring. Useful information including the Barrio and Madrid map were laid out for our arrival. The apartment was conveniently located close to the big three museums, and was extremely well equipped with some starter provisions there for us. We could see the Madrid Challenge and Vuelta bike races from our window or walk 50m to cheer by the roadside. The only difficulty was the air conditioning in the building turning off at 1200. Cesar had provided an air cooler and once we worked out the perfect position, we were fine for sleeping.
