We were lucky to find a tapas tour that accommodated our family with two young children aged 3 and 4. Traveling with young children can be stressful but we were greeted by Luis and his lovely wife who took to our children easily which made the tour fun and exciting for all. The tour started with a walk through the streets of Madrid where we then stopped by our favorite tapas bar. The tapas bar was so good we tried going back twice but it was full so you must book the tour the first day so you can revisit your favorite tapas bars. Do not leave Madrid until you book this tour. If we did not have Luis as our guide we would have never had the same experience. Having Luis made our stay in Madrid a very memorable experience we will never forget. Thank you Luis for all the different tapas, wine and hospitality. You and your wife were so friendly and knowledgeable we will highly recommend you to our friends/family and hope to see you on another tour when we are ever back in Madrid.
Muchas Gracias!!!

Dear labellavita54,
Thanks for your kind words about Spanish Tapas Madrid Midday Tapas Tour.
As we always say, it's perfect for a family to have a Tapas Tour at 13:00.
We love having children in our tours and it's free for up to eight years old.
Your kids were so easy to manage, they behaved perfectly!
Gracias!!

This tour was fantastic!! We were a small group (9) ranging from 20's - 60's which made it so refreshing. Luis and his wife met us promptly where we were instructed to met, and the next 3 1/2 hours was pure delight. His choices of tapas was wonderful and we visited 2 different tapas bars, one modern and one traditional. The food was delicious and plentiful. Drinks were included at each place. We then ended with a wonderful paella and more tapas and more drinks. The whole evening was a wonderful adventure and Luis and his wife always gave us an understanding and an insight to culture. Please don't miss this one and try to do it your first night in Madrid so that you can return to the tapas bars during the rest of your stay. He even sends an email afterwards telling what you ate and where. WONDERFUL TOUR!

Thanks for your positive insight about our tour.
We believe mixing modern and traditional tapas bars is the best way to have a taste of Madrid's diverse gastronomy.
We had a really fun and interesting evening with you.
Looking forward to seeing you soon back in Madrid.

We picked Spanish Tapas based on the excellent TripAdvisor reviews, and Luis did not disappoint. He was very flexible in accommodating our family's specific needs (kids who can't drink alcohol, early start time, a vegetarian etc.). Like others here, we spent our first evening in Madrid with Luis, who was kind enough to greet us at our hotel.

Luis took us to 3 or 4 places (don't remember precisely) with a lot of cultural background and history along the way. There was far too much food (and plenty of alcohol) so no worries about leaving hungry, and it was all unique and excellent. We ended the evening with a walk along the old quarter near the Royal Palace etc. for more history and background. While perhaps we could have walked into random tapas bars on our own, we wouldn't have known to pick these specific ones, nor would we have gotten much of the background that made it all such a fulfilling evening.

This experience was one of our family's favorite experiences in Madrid.

This tour was absolutely fantastic. Luis is a friendly, knowledgeable and all-round lovely guy who really made our Madrid experience richer and more enjoyable. His knowledge about Spanish history was excellent and the food was to die for. Excellent value for the amount of food combined with the guided tour. This is a must!!

Dear Emily T,
Thanks for a remarkable review. Maybe a bit too generous for me as a guide. I just try to make my clients feel welcome in Madrid.
So glad you enjoyed our tour.

Had a wonderful night out with Luis from Spanish Tapas Madrid the last week of March. We visited four different tapas bars in different areas of the historic center of Madrid. Each stop was unique and amazing. I went back to several places again during my trip. Luis was a great host. Full of knowledge to share. It was the highlight of my stay in Madrid. I can't reccomend him enough. Be sure and do this at the start of your visit. You will get so many great ideas about places to eat, and sites to see!
