It was an enjoyable stay! The hotel was clean , the room spacious (although lack of closet space ) but most convenient of all was the location ! 2 minutes walk from metro station / easy to explore Madrid !
Girls at the reception desk are very polite and helpful . There are great restaurants nearby , pharmacy and 24h supermarket.

Totally recommend for couples and families as well !

Aside from a few sticking design points with the room, Artrip offered a few "perks" which made the stay enjoyable. Perks included: free coffee/tea/juices/fruits in the small dining area and a portable Wi-Fi hotspot.

Another perk? It was literally a 2min walk to the Lavapies Metro station, so convenient to jump on the subway! Most, if not all, sights were accessible by walk though.

Upon check-in, which was a bit early, the friendly concierge said our room was upgraded to a Jr. Suite. That was appreciated!

We opted for the breakfast option and it was adequate with pastries, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, fruits, bread, etc.

It was our first visit to Spain (August 2018). I was with my wife and two daughters (we are from the Greater Toronto Area in Ontario, Canada), and room 403 was perfect for all of us. All hotel staff were very friendly and helpful (spoke English too) - Jessica (who assisted us during early check-in), Julie and Yasmina (who both provided us information about nearby restaurants, bus tours), and Bettina (who assisted us during early check-out). Definitely enjoyed talking with the staff, and even had a chance to chat with the owner Don Miguel and the Algerian artist Milad. Excellent location. Artrip will our "home" whenever we are in Madrid!

Room tip: If travelling as a family, they have family rooms.

Great boutique hotel. Centrally located, spotlessly clean, and with a wonderfully attentive and helpful staff. Think cozy, rather than luxury, but don’t be put off by the 2-star label. This hotel punches way above its weight. My wife and I stayed in one of the “atico” rooms. There was only one room on our floor, so plenty of privacy and a quiet place to recharge.
