“Disappointing ”

Could be expected but the place doesn't seem so interesting in winter, so the entrance fee is much to pay in this season.

“Even on New Years Eve”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

While many plants are in winter dormancy, this was still a wonderful interlude during a madhouse time in Madrid.

“I'm sure it's stunning in the spring/summer”
Reviewed December 27, 2012 via mobile

Don't bother going in the winter. There was a lot of nice greenery, but that's about it. Thankfully it was only 3 Euros to get in, so wasn't too bothered. That said, in looking at the signs of what was planted, it would be a must-visit destination for anyone in the spring/summer once everything was in bloom.

“beautiful even in winter”
Reviewed December 22, 2012

yes, this garden is probably amazing in the spring, but we were in Madrid in the winter and still wanted to go . we loved it . entrance was only 3 euros which was more than worth it . while nothing was blooming, there were still plenty of trees to look at, beautifully manicured walkways, arbors covered in vines, and fountains . my favorite were the tropical greenhouses, which were amazing to walk through . we saw some bad reviews on here and can't understand what these people were expecting . the garden was beautiful and we were there in the middle of winter . this is not an amusement park, It's a garden, and a beautiful one at that .

“Pretty, managable size & interesting plant varieties”
Reviewed November 27, 2012

For the plant geek like me, it was so fun to see the diverse selection of plants in this relatively small garden. Being there at the end of Fall wasn't the best as we had missed most of the flowers and fall color, but just seeing the plant variety tells me that spring is probably amazing! They had an immense selection of roses along with many other fun plants. It was beautifully laid out, well-labeled and inexpensive to get in. Recommend, especially in spring and summer.
