I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Palacio Real in Madrid. The tour was really enjoyable and I enjoyed seeing where the royal family lived and ruled. however, my visit would have been greatly enhanced if the audio tours would have been available. Unfortunately, they didn't have any left by the time I arrived. The written signs were mainly in Spanish and the few in English were not very interesting. I wish the audio guides would have been easier to get. The tour of the royal pharmacy was the highlight of the visit for me. The amount of "medicine" was amazing and I loved seeing the various potions in their original containers. The most beautiful part of the tour was the living spaces of the royal family. the outrageous opulence was an amazing sight. The palace is definitely worth a visit.
