“Fantastic Location!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2012

Stayed four nights in June and I was thrilled with the price and location. We walked to the Prado, Plaza Mayor and del Sol. Little coffee shop next door was great for morning espresso and pastry (save yourself the breakfast cost). Our superior room was over the top! The bathroom had a HUGE jacuzzi with double doors that opened to a small terrace. The larger balcony had table and two chairs -- ideal for morning coffee. Street view as stellar. The nice man at front desk (sorry I forgot his name) arranged for us to get last minute Lion King tickets -- for Friday night show! and he also changed and confirmed our reservations at Corral de la Moreria. Great service!!! Would stay there again no question.

Room Tip: Spring for the Superior Room. We were on the top floor with fantastic view of the street and the jac...

I stayed at this hotel in Madrid in November 2010, then returned there November 2011.
. Its within walking distance of all attractions. 2010 breakfast was poor and I did complain but in 2011 the breakfast had improved alot .If I returned to Madrid I would stay at this hotel again.

This hotel is ideal, if you have just a few days in Madrid and want to reach everything in short time. Since neither of us speaks any Spanish, the very helpful staff at the reception (I'd like to mention especially the bald guy...) helped us out a lot with restaurant reservation etc... One has to say that the building quality is not too great although everything is still in good shape. Breakfast is good, but extremely so. Overall I'd return to this hotel, also because it's quiet despite the central location.

We stayed there for three nights and were very pleased with our overall stay. The location is excellent, 2 minutes walk from the centre of madrid, with metro services, shops, restaurants and bars directly on your doorstep. The staff were very helpful, recommending restaurants and sights to see which never dissappointed. The rooms were pleasent and modern, cleaned everyday. Breakfast was very nice. I would recommend this hotel and would definately stay here again if we re-visted madrid again.

Room Tip: No swimming pool and fitness centre

Previous reviewers have said it all - good location, well fitted rooms, etc. and, yes, the maids do vacuum outside in the hallways a tad early. One thing I found useful was the amount of outlets in the room and the AC worked very well. The front desk staff was very helpful. The wi fi never worked for me - not sure if it was my equipment (I kept getting a server error). You can mosey over to Plaza de Santa Ana and obtain wi fi from the many cafes around the plaza.

I would definitely stay here again - particularly for the price point and location.

I stayed here for 3 nights and I was very pleased. Firstly the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms have nice, with modern decor. The hotel was clean throughout.

There was a choice of free press. I could also make use of an iron and ironing board and some rooms have a trousers press.

The location is very central, a little east of Puerta del Sol. I will certainly be coming back.

The hotel is near Puerta del Sol, nicely located in the historic part of Madrid. The hotel is very friendly, and good in many respects but it has some flaws. The hotel is modern and stylish, well decorated and maintained. However many of the rooms are small or oddly shaped. The room was comfortable and the bathroom well fitted although shower was feeble. The aircon worked well. Breakfast was mixed - the "fresh" fruit was mainly tinned, the coffee from the urn was terrible (grey and tasted very old, get the staff to make coffee from the machine which was much better) and the hot food dull as was the cold meat/cheese selection. Breads, croissants etc were good. There is no real public area. The price was OK.
