“Good Hotel, Nice place”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

We were recently at the hotel and is very good. Good location, excellent breakfast. With the park, which is very important in the center of Madrid. It is very nice and has a good quality / price ratio

This is a nice hotel, not a luxury hotel, but a really good place to stay. I want 4 things out of a hotel: 1. Clean, 2. Quiet, 3. Good amenities 4. Convenient location. Hotel Ganivet met all 4. Our room was small, but clean and the beds were comfortable. We did not face the street, so there was minimal noise. Even located near the elevators our room was quiet. A breakfast buffet with ample choices was included in our stay. The hotel is located 50-100 meters from Puerta Toledo metro stop, less than a half mile walk from Placico Real and Plaza Mayor. If you are looking for a place to stay on vacation I would recommend Hotel Ganivet

Recently stayed at this hotel. Friendly staff, pleasant clean room with balcony.

Well placed to walk into the city.

Parking availalable on site, however for larger vehicles it is a bit tight but manageable.

All in all good value for money.

Bit late but stayed here for one night in May. It was a stopover on the way to Valencia and I chose the Ganivet because I'd already stayed here 3 times (twice when the Finnisterre) and couldn't fault it for what I wanted. Nice size bedrooms, clean, secure. Good buffet breakfast. About 50 metres from the Puerta de Toledo metro stop (2 changes from the airport).
Ten minute walk up Calle de Toledo straight into the Plaza Mayor. Very convenient for La Latina, Calle Cava Baja and Las Vistillas.
Not right in the centre but very good value in a very good hotel.

Room Tip: Can be a bit noisy in the early hours if you have a room at the front. Revellers or binmen.

Very nice hotel. We were on holiday with my family and had a room for three people. It was small, but clean and comfortable. Location of the hotel very good. We had breakfasts and dinners. A lot of different and delicious food. Very nice interior and people who work there. The price of the room is absolutely correspond to what we had!

Room Tip: If you're travelling with your family, don't take room for three. It is better to take separ...

We stayed for 3 days and it was so great that at the end of our vacation we went back for a day. The breakfast is a must if you stay there. The room was comfortable enough for 3 people. Walking distance to Plaza Mayor and other places. Their coffee shop was great too. Not until the last day did we try it and we should of tried it sooner. The receptionist and breakfast people were really nice.

Clean, fresh, inviting hotel. Friendly receptionist. Room was big enough for two people (twin), with good cupboard space and ample bathroom. Excellent wifi and safety box in room. Buffet breakfast (€10) was amazing, catering for all with cereal, pastries, variety of breads, hot food, fruit and drinks. Close to metro, Madrid City Tours bus stop and Casa Baja (lots of bars and tapas).
