Unfortunately we only ever get to stay at the Auditorium for one night, either on our way to or from holiday in some far flung place. The price is right, breakfast endless, rooms and beds perfect, swimming pool very well maintained and last but not least the restaurant is excellent, this last visit was on our way home from Portugal on the 24th of june and looking for a good dinner they didnt disappoint , the set menu for two is top value at 50euros, we always choose fish, along with a good vino selection you cant go wrong. If travelling through Madrid and needing a stop over this place is ideal.

I recently stayed here after booking it for a couple of nights due to its convenient location to the airport. Firstly, it is a 10 minute shuttle ride away and it's a lotto as to whether you get an English speaking/polite driver! 4/5 times, I appeared to have a losing ticket.

As for the hotel, it is situated on a highway in the middle of nowhere and approaching it you can forget you're even in Madrid at all. Never the less, the entry hall gives a reasonably good first impression aside from a bizarre broken down car sitting in the middle and a driving range that seems to of been put in the middle of the bar area (?!). The reception staff were helpful and did speak pretty good English, after getting our key we made our way through what can only be described as an empty shopping centre and particularly when no-one is around it makes for an almost unpleasant environment.

The rooms were actually decently sized and everything worked perfectly although the bath is somewhat questionable as it is about as shallow as my sink at home... The TV was somewhat limited in choice and unless you enjoy watching amusingly bad dubbing it's probably best to give it a miss. The bed was a little firm although a good size but the pillows were incredibly soft.

The gym and swimming pool however were both in excellent condition and provided a pleasant view of the airport runway.

The one key problem I have with this hotel is the fact that there is not a single restaurant within walking distance and as a result the hotel takes complete advantage and charges outrageous rates for food and drink. You need a minimum of 20 euros per person for a snack. The room service was one of the worst I've come across, and they messed up the only order I made 3 times due the fact that not a single person spoke English. In the end I had to contact reception and get them to sort it out. All for the sake of a 6 euro mug sized bowl of cereal. I would suggest as a result you make full use of one of the only decent perks of the hotel and use the breakfast buffet.

Im sure this hotel would be fine for a business trip of one night only stay and your company was the one taking the hit. However if you are intending to go here for any other purpose or you have to pay for breakfast/evening meals I would strongly recommend otherwise.

A few tips for those who do stay, if you want to get to the large shopping centre which is about 3 kilometres down the road (which has various restaurants and fast food outlets) you need to get the airport shuttle bus and pray the driver woke up on the right side of the bed that morning and ask him to stop, even if he appears to of completely ignored your request he most likely will of heard, do not be alarmed. As for getting into town, the easiest way I found was just getting the airport shuttle bus to terminal 2 and then getting a "touristico" ticket which allows you unlimited use of the metro network for that day (8 euros).

Dear Iknimaya M, we are glad to hear you chose our hotel because of its distance to the airport. We are sorry you had disappointing events during your stay, we have taken very good note of all of them and will try to improve those areas if they are able to.

I've stayed here twice with my girl. Considering how lame European hotels are at outrageous prices, this hotel provides excellent 4 star accommodations for dirt cheap prices. The beautiful up-to-date room had a giant flat screen television, huge king size bed, luxurious robes and a very nice bathroom. The indoor pool allowed sky views and a warm place to swim in the cool winter months. Although difficult with public transport, this hotel is conveniently located to the airport and is a short drive to the city center. I've even found this hotel better than some Hyatt's that I've stayed in. Put in a Jacuzzi and I'd even consider it a 5 star hotel.

Dear Chad D, I am really glad to hear your words about our facilities, especially about the rooms and pool. You should try the pool in summer since we change it to an outdoor one for this time of the year- it might feel like the jacuzzi you suggested when it's hot, just kidding ;) -
For the next time there's a public transport bus stop in front of the hotel where you can take a bus which will take you to Avenida de América within a 15-20 min ride and from there you can take the metro.
Thanks a lot for taking the time to share your opinion with us.

Was here for a conference. Had great service in some difficult moments. The staff were great to be able to manage everything I needed and even provide me some access directly to the local officials for help. The hotel is a bit dated and old and lacks a good restaurant, but with its bus will take you anywhere. Although it is a little too far out of the city near the airport.

I can't think of any reason to stay here if you are not at a convention hosted at the hotel. It is large, anonymous, weirdly decorated, and the location is terrible. The staff was friendly and helpful, to their credit.

Room Tip: 90% of the rooms have an inside view. As it turns out, this is OK since the neighborhood is ugly.

Dear Harley226, I am sorry to hear you did not like the location and the building. As you said this is a hotel mainly focused on large events such as congresses and conventions, but fortunately our guests come also from the airport, from their need to do business around or simply because they want to stay in a comfortable and not noisy place as the ones in the centre may be.
I am glad you found the staff friendly and helpful.

Stayed here for large IT conference. At first sight it looked like an old eastern block hotel, all concrete blocks. But over the week the place grew on me. Room was very comfortable. A/C worked. Shower good water pressure. Bed was a bit hard but fine. Service was good. No queues for check-in/check-out breakfast. Safe provided in room and also cloakroom to leave bag after check-out. The only downside is that this hotel has nothing within walking distance so you do end up with cabin fever unless you get a taxi / bus / metro into Madrid. We had some rip-off taxi fares. Some charged 20 euros to go in, others nearer to 40. None of them had a word of English and just shouted in Spanish. Anyway this has nothing to do with the hotel, but is just a general tip.
Overall this is an efficient conference hotel, not a vacation hotel. ps. bar food is poor (avoid).

Room Tip: Don't eat in the bar. Get a taxi to Madrid and visit the San Miguel Market / Mayor square.

Location to Barajas was the main reason for choosing this hotel, the airport is less than 10 minutes away. This is a huge hotel that feels like a small 'shopping mall' inside. Nevertheless it's clean comfortable and had good recreation and swimming facilities.
The piano bar is nice and a good place to get a drink and snack and watch the world (inside the hotel) go by. They do have a piano and during my stay and elderly Spanish guy was playing a mournful, tune which I couldn't quite place, it was nice though!
Nothing negative to say, You'll get what you pay for, it's an airport hotel and so expect it to busy with crew and travellers alike. Breakfast hall is just that, huge and feels like a school canteen, but the food is plentiful with a good choice and the staff are attentive. Just make sure you give them your room number before you enter, otherwise they'll chase you until they get it!!
Look out for the snack bar, which is a huge room with tables and chairs and about 4 vending machines; coffee, snacks and water.
