The breakfast was limited and mixed up. Example:the juice machine is here and the glasses are somewhere else, bread is here and the jam and butter are in some other place.Speed of wifi was very good.On the first day only the a.c wasnt working.Rooms were very comfortable. I was out and when i came bck the room door wasnt opening.we had to go down to the reception, recharge the card and then come up and then open the door. Most of the shopping was closeby and excellent restaurants closeby.Must go to pappiza nearby and taste the pizzas.nice stay

The hotel is in great position- on the la gran via.the room was very good- comfortable and clean.the breakfast was a bit difficult to the ones who eats kosher only and it was better to eat outside (there are a lot of nice breakfast resturants around - such as dunkin coffee or a resturant that looked from the 50's.

hotel is situated right in the center of Madrid in one of the most important streets named Gran Via; perfect for those who want to go to all the theatres to watch the various shows. You will find a big variety of restaurants and fast food joints. I personally recommend the Bar del Jamon. About the hotel: it has no parking, rooms need a tremendous makeover, its fairly clean, food in the restaurant is all packet food and variety very very limited, I personally ate elsewhere. They have two matchbox size elevators; one 3 person and one 4 person capacity, and they take forever to get you up and down. Only points in favor are location and price.

Room Tip: try and get rooms facing the street. others have no view at all.

Pro: location; everything is almost within walking distance
Con: very noisy, dark room; bathroom is outdated as well as the towels; wifi connection extremely poor; reception is on -1 and you have to carry your luggage all the way down by using the stairs. You can get to your room only by using the lift which is on -1.

The location couldnt be better. You can choose at least 03 subways stations pretty new to the hotel. It is new to the main turistic points in the downtown. The breaskfast is also very good with different options of breads, cheeses, with tortilla de patatas!

This hotel offers air conditioning in all rooms. I was there in April and there was no air/cond. (a/a) available. There is no lift from the entrance to the reception in the cellar and there is no personal to help you carry your bags up & down the stairs. I was charged 45 EUR for using the telephone to call the information service !!! When I mentioned I would bring a claim to the City of Madrid's City Hall suddenly the charge disappeared...

One plus about this hotel is the central location, close to all transport media and the house's Breakfast.

Room Tip: very poor Wifi.
