We could see down into this parque from the plaza in front of the palace (picture attached). But, we did not realize there was only one entrance / exit all the way on the other side, off Paseo Virgin Del Paena.

The park has many walking trails through gardens and beautiful trees and some fountains. Several pictures looking up toward the palce and down from the palce as well as other garfden areas are attached.

It's a large garden with lots of greenery, pathways, benches to rest and a free public toilet that was super clean. It's adjacent to the Royal palace.

We visited after spending 2 hours looking around the Royal Palace. A really tranquil spot, we sat in the shade on a bench under a tree and people watched for an hour or so!

Campo del Moro is a lovely area for a walk and some relaxation. It is next to the Palacio Real de Madrid and you will need to find the only open gate to access the entrance into the gardens. Once inside you find yourself in a paradise-like environment. The landscaped gardens are beautiful with a large range of plants and lovely flowers, as well as trees and various bushes. There are other features such as a number of sculptures. Worth a visit.

Huge, quiet garden that you can see from the palace but to enter, you must walk around the perimeter and find the sole entrance/exit. We were greeted by a calico cat as we walked into the free area.
