Description: Find out our January Wine Events in the Facebook Page:RestauranteManoloWe offer daily menus (lunch & dinner). If you are looking for a genuine Spanish cuisine restaurant where tasting excellent typical Spanish dishes and “Tapas”, that´s your place.Enjoy having a “Caña” (beer) or a wine with some our famous “Tapas” such as “Chorizo”(highly-seasoned pork sausage), “Jamón ibérico” (cured ham), “Queso manchego” (cured cheese from La Mancha), “Calamares fritos” (fried squid), “Pulpo a la gallega” (octopus from Galicia), “Gambas al ajillo” (shrimp in garlic sauce)… and a wide variety of them.In order to guarantee the freshness and quality of our recipes, we personally import our fish and meat from the Galician shores and fields, making a significant difference in the taste of our dishes. Do not leave Madrid without tasting our dishes of genuine galician and madrilian cuisine such as “Cocido madrileño” (typical stew of Madrid), “Callos” (madrilian typical sticky casserole of veal tripe and cheeks), “Bistec de ternera gallega” (veal steak from Galicia), “Solomillo de vacuno” (veal sirloin steak), “Merluza a la gallega” (Galician recipe of hake), and a large list of dishes.A professional wait staff with our kitchen team and a classical decoration and furniture that evokes the Spanish restaurants of the early 20th century make the client experience unforgettable.

We stumbled into this place while shopping other area and looking for a place for a quick bite. It turned out to be amazing, so much so hat we returned the next day. The place is always packed with locals - testimony to how good the food is, how good the service is and how great the anbience is too. We opted for th lunch time menu del dia - 3 great courses for less than 10 euros. We ate estofado ( stewed beef), atun ( grilled tuna in olive oil), sopa de marisco ( fish soup) and ensaladilla ( salad). The food is not fancy but down to earth - but the quality of food and of the cooking s top notch. The staff are wonderful - efficient yet also really lovely. I can't recommend this place at all. Not a tourist in sight and a real local place with wonderl home style cooking of great quality.

We stumbled on this restaurant while shopping in the Arguelles district, along Calle Princesa. We just popped in for tapas and a few glasses of wine and realised we'd found an excellent, well-situated restaurant in true Madrid style. We just regretted we weren't hungry enough for a full meal - as this was our last night in Madrid this trip we'll amok a point of visiting next time.

The wine was excellent, the food was very good - and the manchego cheese recommended by one of the waiters was superb.

We would defintiely recommend this venue if you find yourself on the Arguelles side of Plaza d'Espana. It has a web site with its menu at www.manolorestaurante.com .
