“Fantastic location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2013 via mobile

Stayed at the Ibis Styles for 3 nights in September. The location is brilliant, a very short walk to numerous bars and restaurants, with the square being a great place to watch the world go by. Hotel is clean and rooms much bigger than other Ibis Hotels. Breakfast is basic but enough to choose from, only continental though. Would definitely stay here again.

We took the Metro from Madrid Airport, to Anton Martin Metro Station, which is about 400 metres from the hotel It was extremely hot when we arrived in Madrid and the best part of entering the hotel was the Air Conditioned Air Lock.
The hotel is a very high grade 3 Star. The room was very large, the beds and pillows excellent and the Air Conditioning excellent. It also had a business lounge on the ground Floor with tea and coffee making facilities
We found it actually better than four, 5 Star hotels we also stayed at in Spain.
The Hotel was very close to The Prado and also Sol.
We rate this possibly the best 3 Star Hotel we have stayed in.

Room Tip: The hotel is in a very quiet location. Perhaps all the rooms are OK.

clean simple quiet. Rooms are small but the bed is comfortable. When you just need to get a nights sleep when travelling on business this is best value. Very close to other hotels charging 3x the price. Great location

nice modern hotel with really friendly staff always willing to help with directions etc.
good position within the city not far from the centre and very close to the Metro station to move about the city
Breakfast ok but we thought it could be better with the addition of some hot food but certainly plenty of choice for everyone - and the room is nice and bright!!
Curious bar within reception that you have to try. Never seen wine served in this way!!!
But it is a really nice oplace to stay and would highly recommend.
We thought the staff were excellent

Room Tip: we had 1 of the 2 rooms on Level 7 - very good indeed

I stayed at this hotel in August 2013 for two nights. This is an excellently situated hotel, with the majority of the city's main attractions, within walking distance. The hotel is clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. It is very much like your standard Ibis, so if you are looking for a venue, with the character of Madrid, then look elsewhere, however if you want a good inexpensive base to explore from, then this hotel would be a good choice.

The hotel is relatively close to the main Train Station (Madrid Puerta de Atocha), from which you can get a direct RENFE train to and from Madrid Barachas Airport (T4) for E2.5 per person each way. Although, the hotel is walking distance from the Station, I would definitely recommend a Taxi, if you have heavy luggage, particularly, as the hotel is on a side street, which you may not navigate to straight away.

The hotel breakfast is served in the basement breakfast room. It is a cold breakfast, containing cereals, cold meats/cheeses, fruit, pastries, bread, juices and hot tea/coffee. The breakfast is good, although lacks a hot element. There is no bar/restaurant in the hotel, although there are numerous opposite and near to the hotel.

Overall, if you are looking for a budget to medium priced hotel, I would highly recommend staying here.
