I chose this hotel after days researching and comparing the many hotels in Madrid. While still very much in the city of Madrid, this is slightly out of the centre. I was happy with this area which is upmarket and less noisy and chaotic than central Madrid. I was easily able to get around by underground, by bus or on foot and see museums, markets, the palace, Retiro Park, which was very close.

The room and bathroom were lovely and cool, a retreat from the hot summer streets of Madrid. I rested well here. Air conditioning was very effective! Free drinks were always available in my fridge, which I loved.

Service was fine, and to me it was almost a hybrid of a hotel and a self contained apartment, which suited my needs. There is internet in the lobby, which I found convenient.

Breakfast in the garden was available for 13 Euros, but I happily saved my money and bought yoghurt and fruit and put them in the fridge – easy to prepare in the handy kitchenette.

It was also near a great tapas place called La Biotza (address: Calle de Claudio Coello, 27) - I ate there twice.

Beautiful hotel, with spacious rooms and a lovely interior garden. Room is comfortable and large, with a convenient kitchenette and nice bathroom. The location of the hotel is terrific-- situated in a wonderful neighborhood, very close to Retiro park and convenient to two metro stops. Ample buffet breakfast. Pleasant and helpful hotel staff. The only negative is that rooms can be a bit noisy, especially from the floors above, or nearby ventilating units or the elevators. This turned out not to be a big problem during my stay, however.

The hotel is locate in a narrow central street in Madrid, and has nice spacious rooms, comfortable and clean. With a very good price/quality ratio you can hardly go wrong with it. Only "drawback" is that you won't get a view, given how narrow the street is – which, on the other hand, will prevent your room from becoming too hot in summer. At the same time, the location is perfect for enjoying the barrio Salamanca on one side and the beautiful and elegant Paseo de la Castellana on the other. The staff have been helpful and polite. The restaurant, in the interior, shaded court, is also nice, and, being tired and traveling on my own, I ended up dining there, with a quite satisfactory meal.

This hotel is very much in the centre of town, near places as Retiro Parque, el Prado, Sol. Yet, it is at a very quiet location and it has a garden for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Rooms are good and practical with a small kitchen. If you like to sleep well in the heart of the city, this is a good choice

Room Tip: Rather book in advance, prices are lower and you get the free breakfast. Even at the front, rooms ar...

The hotel is well located in a trendy part of Madrid. Apart from being close to the key musea, there are several good restaurants close. In addition signature shops of top brands are around the corner.
The hotel room is very spacious and well equipped. The hotel is clearly not new, but has been properly maintained. The walls and floors are allowing sound to pass, which is a drawback of the hotel. We had a room at the front, but did not hear much noise from the street
The garden where you can have breakfast, lunch and diner is a nice feature in the middle of a crowded and noisy city.
The staff in the restaurant speaks not much English

We stayed here for two nights in June 2012. Reception staff were very professional and helpful; the porter too was very attentive and wouldn't take a tip! Reception organised a suite for us with a large terrace at a very reasonable rate. The hotel is located near many of the main attractions - though still very quiet - and is easy to reach from the airport by metro& taxi. Our evening meal in the restaurant was excellent even though the waiter was very busy and could have done with some assistance. There were weddings on both days which monopolize the public rooms for most of the day. However this is a little gem of a hotel that I can recommend. On the down side the lift is very noisy so try get a room as far away from it as possible.

Room Tip: Ask reception if they are doing any specials on the top floor suites which are very spacious and hav...

We stayed here for one night in early June and we woudl thoroughly recommend it. The staff at reception were welcoming and helpful - they printed off our boarding passes for us, recommended restaurants for lunch and dinner and gave us directions for the Metro. Its very easy to travel to and from the airport from here. The wonderful Retiro park is nearby and lots of shops. Our room was bright and spacious and had a little kitchenette cleverly hidden by a slide robe. I hope to return to Madrid and would definitley stay here.
