Excellent location; the very heart of the city! Close to most major sightseeing sites; nearby to city bus (hop on &off) stops; friendly staff. Late check out by 2pm is possible for free; free safe in the room; daily cleaning and changing towels; free WiFi. Very reasonable price; I really enjoyed staying at the hotel Liabeny.

I have booked this hotel following very good reviews on Trip advisor and my experience even exceeded the expectations. Location is great, the room was very clean and cozy. It felt like real 4 star hotels after a couple others I stayed in just a week before. People on reception are outstanding. I asked about Flamenco and they not only immediately booked a performance for me but also one of them accompanied me to the location of the show which was a couple of blocks away. I would say it is the best hotel experience I've ever had and if I happened to be in Madrid again I'll definitely stay there.

The Liabeny is the hotel I try to book when I'm going to Madrid. Have stayed there three times, which should say it all. It's a classic 4-star European hotel, just like in those old 1960s movies, immaculately kept with polite, formal service, and a perfect location on a side street between Sol and the Grand Via. It does not have a pool but it does have air conditioning/heating and breakfast is extra. It is a tasteful, restful place to return to after a day out sightseeing in Madrid and comes highly recommended.

Room Tip: Interior rooms have no street view but will be the quietest, having a window which looks onto an int...

Finally a hotel that felt like a 4 Star! Good rooms and bathrooms and the Staff at the Reception more than excelled themselves. There was confusion around our Tour Booking and the Concierge personally ensured that we were escorted to the Travel Company Office , a good distance away from the Hotel. The Breakfast was good and the location could not be better if you like to be in the middle of it all.. great shops and Tapas bars near by with the Prado Museum within walking distance as well. There was even a turn down service in the evening - great housekeeping! I guess the selection of TV channels in English could have been better, but then it would depend on how much TV one watches on holiday :)

This hotel is ok. It is well located, near the shops and the centre. When we checked-in it felt very much like going through passport control, the man behind the counter was very direct and not very welcoming. Although, the other staff members were much warmer. The hotel rooms are clean and the bed is made twice a day. Beware however that they do not provide you with an iron (we asked at the desk and they said they did not have an iron in the hotel), there are no tea or coffee facilities in your room, there is no body lotion provided (one for the ladies) and the only English channels are news channels (something to consider if travelling with children). Overall, a hotel that provides the basics.

I chose this hotel based on reviews and I was not disappointed. The hotel is centrally located to everything. If you don't like to be amidst the hustle and bustle then don't stay here but if you want to be in the heart of it all, this is the place to be. You walk out the door and the church is directly in front of you. My cousin attended mass Sunday morning and enjoyed the old church. Shopping is directly outside your door and you can find whatever you need. The Plaza del Sol and Plaza Mayor are a very short walk. You can enjoy the nightlife and only have a short walk back to your hotel. The staff were pleasant and helpful. We wanted to print out vouchers for a couple of excursions and the concierge gave us the hotel email to forward him the vouchers and he had them printed out for us and waiting. The breakfast buffet was delicious. We enjoyed fresh fruit and cheeses as well as hot plates. I loved the figs and cheese in the morning with my hot coffee. This was the first stop on our tour of Spain and it was a great welcome. I would not hesitate to go back. The one drawback, and not just of this hotel, but all of them in Spain, was the hard beds. It didn't matter where we stayed, they all seemed to have those small hard mattresses.
