“Have been looking forward to a second visit...”
Reviewed November 27, 2012

We went here with Spanish friends 18 months a go and have anticipated a return. We were not disappointed as the food was most succulent and the service excellent. It is a little pricey by Spanish standards but very reasonable by UK ones. The morcilla (black pudding) is awesome as a starter. The suckling pig is to die for and the sea bass very good. The wines are great. We had a red Rioja Marques de Caceres which was lovely at a sensible price. We are now hoping for a third visit son!

“Downstairs but not down at heel.”
Reviewed August 22, 2012

This is another place I have been to a handful of times over the years. Located near the Opera house close to the Golden Arches, I have near left here disappointed. It offers a good selection of dishes with the emphasis on grilled meats. Service is always impeccable, prices above average, reasonable selection of wines at fair prices.

“Expensive but worth it”
Reviewed March 18, 2012

This restaurant had been recommended to us and it was worth the visit. We went with another couple and started off with a few typical Spanish tapas followed by their traditional roast pork and lamb dishes. The house wine was excellent. Overall an enjoyable evening although I must mention that it came at a price.

“Average option”
Reviewed January 26, 2012

Very well located, right on downtown Madrid, it is a beautiful place with very good service and average food.
There are many better options in Madrid like La Tahona or Asador Donostiarra but this is a good option in downtown.
Prices are very good and it has a great advantage, all day open kitchen, not very usual in Europe.
It deserves a try, anyway.
